Bill Clinton was in Puerto Rico for a two day visit. Here is a good site for Puerto Rico political news.

While in Puerto Rico Bill visited the San Juan Unveiling of an FDR statue, visited the Barceloneta Industrial Zone; attended the Dedication of a pediatric wing in Hermanos Meléndez Hospital; attended a community forum in Salinas; and went to a rally in Ponce plaza.

Bill Clinton made the case for Hillary Clinton, La Borinquena, in Puerto Rico and let Puerto Rico know Hillary will fight for their right to be heard along with all the states yet to be heard from:

Bill Clinton took his wife’s presidential campaign to Puerto Rico on Sunday night, telling islanders that Sen. Hillary Clinton is the best candidate to fix a struggling economy. The former president arrived for a two-day visit ahead of the U.S. Caribbean territory’s June 1 Democratic primary, which could give Puerto Rico a rare opportunity to have a say in national politics.

The irony in all this is that Puerto Rico, which is not a state in the United States, will have a large voice in the Democratic nominating process while Dean/Brazile disenfranchise the states of Florida and Michigan.

3. Good for Bill
I find it funny too that Puerto Rico is going to have a voice while FL and MI do not.

People are already trying to break DNC rules trying to foce superdelegates who they should vote for and not to use their own personal judgement. Surely they can break the rules for FL and MI then too.

There has to be some resoultion to this.

4. A Hillary supporter decrying people breaking DNC rules!
:wow:

Nobody is trying to "force" superdelegates to vote for anybody - typical Clinton doublespeak. Ignores the FACT of the matter, that Clinton is the one actually attempting to switch over PLEDGED delegates. Instead harps on Obama supporters saying superdelegates should vote along with the pledged. Nobody is trying to force them, no more than Clinton, and again it's the PLEDGED candidates she's trying to sway, against the rules.

But never let little things like facts get in the way of your argument, it's not like the Clinton campaign has any real credibility left.

6. Puerto Rico--Hillary's Last Stand!
Superdelegates voting the way they have pledged is not a rule, it is a custom or perhaps could be called a procedure. The same as a candidate for any office can make promises, like protecting the rights of gays and lesbians, and then after the election they can choose to vote for DOMA. Theoretically it could always be done, but it took the boldness of the Clintons to actually suggest it.
The timing of primaries on the other hand is a rule. Breaking it has consequences that were clearly defined beforehand.

7. crowd size is a mute issue
seeing as most people who go to rallys hes at go to see HIM, not necessary because they like hillary.

i know because everyone around me when he visited my town in kentucky had no interest in voting for her and infact they were all mad they had to sign a campaign information/pledge paper just to get in.

hes the ex president, and a popular one at that.... of course he draws crowds... love him or hate him, people wanna see him ...lol
