He supports a candidate who can't tell the difference between a Sunne and a Shiite , so it's no wonder he can't tell the difference between Tiger Woods and Barack Obama. This is the "Everybody Looks The Same!" Campaign.

This is what I "hear". "Democrats you may have, or keep your Tiger Woods, we Republicans will take Senator McCain, our audacity of hope."
Personally, I wouldn't want to be up against a Tiger Woods in any given field. If Senator Obama is indeed the Tiger Woods of politics McSame is in for a hurting.

14. That's what makes the argument so incredibly stupid, laughable even. |
|
Even though it's also incredibly racist.

... just makes my blood boil.
The Republicans are basically saying to black and pretty much every non-white person in the U.S., we don't want you and we don't need you. And yet, not a day goes by without conservatives whining and crying about the lack of black, Asian, Jewish, Hispanic etc. participation in Republican causes.
They get so upset when they realize minorities in this country are not nearly as stupid and uninformed as they want us to be. The guy who made this comment comparing Obama to Tiger Woods would be simply shocked and appalled to have someone brand this comment as racially tinged or him as a racist. Judging by his speaking style, he probably said what he said just so no one would notice what a horrendously bad speaker he is.
Btw, props to Dr. Dyson. It's cool he's teaching now at one of my alma maters.

7. And lets not forget the repetition of another MO |
|
At the same time as the speaker is dismissing basically all non-whites as being undesirable, he appropriates the language and/or work product of a non-white. The thing that makes it even WORSE is he appropriates the words of the man that the larger culture has been vilifying as an anti-American racist: Reverend Wright.
I have often wondered how it can be the larger culture can steal and otherwise appropriate so much of the cultural product of a people that is other wise so thoroughly vilified, so much the object of scorn and hatred by that larger culture.

9. Tiger Woods? Isn't he the guy who like, always wins? |

Was this guy really referring to Senator Obama as "Tiger Woods"? Or is that just Olbermann's latest jumped-to conclusion?
I heard him claim that his two young boys are going to "emulate and admire" John McCain, and "you can have your Tiger Woods".
I guess it's true that a lot of boys and young men in particular do look up to Tiger Woods.
But I never met a kid who wanted to be like John McCain. So it was a dumb example. But not necessarily racist.

making it pretty hard to dismiss it as a non-Obama reference.

13. The speaker made it very clear to whom he was referring when he later |
|
made the "audacity of hope" comment. So it was an incredibly dumb example as well as a racist remark.

10. I couldn't help but notice a couple of things about Sgt. Bellavia |
|
How angry he was, and how white he was. That man was white as a bleeding sheet! I also couldn't help but notice that there wasn't a single African American, Hispanic, or Asian behind the man. Are they going to start casting McCain as the great white hope?
As far as comparing Obama to Tiger Woods, that was an unintended compliment. Tiger Woods is a great golfer and a classy guy.

12. It's sorta funny isn't it? I mean, of course it's intended to be offensive, and because of |
|
it's intent, it IS offensive. However, what kind of fucking dumbass compares someone to Tiger Freaking Woods in a disparaging way and expects to come off sounding intelligent?
"You can have your astronomically talented, hard-working, barrier-breaking, successful-beyond-compare living legend, we'll take our cranky old political whore who changes his stance more often than he changes his underwear!"
And the crowd goes wild for this? WOW, some people are really freaking stupid. :eyes:
