1. Good one,
but hard for me to swallow from someone who said -- during this campaign -- that she would expand H1-B visas.

2. Doesn't Obama also have the same view?
I think they both will given the pressure they will face from corporate America to do so.

4. It's my sincerest, deepest hope
that whoever is the Prez, they have learned in this campaign that we want no more of this crap, and that they might just listen to us instead of corporate America. Am I deluded?

I'll go see what Obama said on it. I just remember Hillary responding to this during a debate. I wasn't paying attention to Obama at the time.

5. Breaking News! Hillary says jobs...
are good!

Hmmm...bold, progressive, forward thinking. An out of the box answer!

Next, she'll have a commercial that condemns stealing and murder, because those things are really , uh...bad. Yeah.

9. Yes George, Like Hillary Says - You Could Have Stopped it but NO
instead you had to go along with the Clinton administration's NAFTA policy that Hillary worked hard to help pass instead of simply killing it since it's a bad deal for America.

It's SOLELY your fault George (well, maybe Obama's fault too) that America's middle class now suffers in favor of the Corporate bottom line. Shame on you George, SHAME ON YOU !!! :eyes:

10. The Clintons Began The Outsourcing Deluge
NAFTA... permanent "almost-free" trade status for China... And she's always trying to jack up the number of H1-B visas, which simply kills the wages of folks working in science in technology.

She's like the guy who kills both his parents, then asks the court for mercy because he's an orphan.

12. She and Rendell and the ABC clan... good for a laugh and that's about it.
Everyone on that side wants me to um... back the woman who authorized a war she said was waged by someone she felt was incompetent and she's asking me to believe that she has the good judgment to be commander in chief. She's a fighter! We don't need that kind of fighter in the white house any more. Forget about it!

It's a shame that I don't believe anything HRC says anymore, but this is a good campaign ad.

21. Hey, guess what?
Obama suporters don't need to apologize for his touting of that senile psychopath McCain and McCain's "presidential abilities" over that of Hillary's. Obama supporters don't need to apologize or make excuses for his shilling for the GOP in order to score cheap political points in a contest that he's doomed to lose. Obama's supporters don't need to make excuses for his stance on the illegal invasion of Iraq or for promoting NAFTA or CAFTA or for keeping Mark Penn on board the campaign despite his promotion of the anti-labor Columbian Free Trade Agreement that Obama purports to oppose.

You know why?

Because Obama didn't do any of these things.

So, I guess that it begs the question: why did Hillary, and why are YOU?

Enjoy this, Mensa:

22. She said the obvious. Everyone knows McSame has more experience
Even Obama knows this hence he is focusing on arguing judgment, not experience. The problem is this invites scrutiny of Obama's judgment and this is what led to pastorgate and the like.

20. It appears this began in 1995, is Bill Clinton partially responsible?
Edited on Fri Apr-18-08 12:10 AM by slipslidingaway
I think there may be more than one person at fault.

http://www.inthesetimes.com/article/685/

"...In 1995, two Chinese companies with close ties to the Chinese government—San Huan New Material High-Tech Inc. and China National Non-Ferrous Metals—and the Sextant Group—an investment company headed by Archibald Cox, Jr., son of the famous Watergate prosecutor—bought Magnequench for $70 million...

Union leaders suspected that GM sold Magnequench to the Chinese to gain access to its markets, as other U.S. companies had done. Fearing for job security under the new owners, union leaders negotiated an agreement to keep the plant open for 10 years.

Over the next few years the company bought out other magnet producers, including Idaho-based GA Powders whose product was developed by federal government researchers and UGIMAG’s Valparaiso plant. The company invested in its U.S. facilities but also began building factories overseas.

Magnequench’s operations initially were quite profitable, but the market slumped in 2000, and the company announced it would close the Anderson plant. The company rebuffed employee efforts to buy the plant, and the union decided to negotiate a severance payment rather than risk a strike and lawsuit over violation of the agreement not to shut down. Early last year Magnequench told its Valparaiso workers that the plant would close..."

"Yet another article on the Magnequench factory and it's move to China...

On Aug. 1, Bayh and Visclosky also sent a letter to the U.S. Department of the Treasury demanding all the facts of its investigation into its review of Magnequench's 1995 sale to a consortium that included Chinese interests and Magnequench's 2000 acquisition of the Valparaiso facility.

To date, they have not received a response. WorldNetDaily contacted Snow's office and had not received a response by press time.

"Concerns raised by American officials about what they considered a clear case of the PRC attempting to obtain control of vital U.S. weapons technology were shot down, and CFIUS permitted the buyout," reported Insight magazine and WND...

"...After acquiring GA Powders, Magnequench opened a new powder plant in Tianjin, China, in June 2000, moving production closer to the source of raw materials and driving down the overall cost of the NdFeB magnets. (The lab retained the patent rights used by GA Powders.) The purchase of Magnequench by Beijing San Huan New Material High-Tech Inc. and China National Non-Ferrous Metals Import & Export Corporation and the Sextant Group Inc, included all the patents used by Magnequench.)..."
