AHA is a very brave woman who gets a lot of butt-kissing on Real Time. Here, she claims that AEI is "just a think tank". I was glad to see Jeremy Scahill and to a small degree Cornell West didn't let her get away with whitewashing that den of warmongers.

Bill Maher is surprisingly ignorant at times. Wasn't aware of the Winter Soldiers, and didn't know what kind of think tank AEI is.

3. stupid bill maher, the west is only more tolerant

because the us had secular progressives making damned sure christianity didnt control the country. we had a crucial opportunity to accomplish this at the birth of our nation, and secularists made sure it happened. thats not a luxury every society has. how fucking absurd of him to juxtapose the two religions like that. hes rationalizing bigotry against muslims. regardless of whether or not that was his intention, the far right will hear these words from bill maher and cheer.
