Since the Pacific Northwest hasn't had a presidential debate, Hillary proposes two debates leading up to the presidential primary.

1. This is a trap
It goes like this:

Get Obama to debate in Indiana; then demand debates in Oregon because, golly, they haven't had a debate, and all these other states have.

Then of course, she will demand debates in Kentucky and West Virginia for the same reason.

And then one in South Dakota.

And Montana.

Oh, and don't forget Puerto Rico.

Will she demand a debate in Guam too?

22 debates are enough, for Christ sake! If he does decide to fall into this trap, he should at least impose conditions on the questioning: no "gotcha" games; no Bittergate, Rev. Wright, Snipergate, old Clinton garbage from the 90's, etc. And no Tim Russert.

Edited on Thu Apr-24-08 10:48 PM by aaroh
who does she think she is trying to write the rules? Hillary doesn't give a shit about Oregon, just a ploy to get more wounds into Obama.

5. She wants free media time....
She's out of money.

She got desperate for debates like this, when she was running low on cash before.

She has no money for media exposure, and she knows these debates are loads of free air time--most
likely for an entire week.

Obama needs to stand up to her, and tell her no. She thinks she can manipulate and bully her
way into getting free air time.

Let her keep whining.

7. Next she'll be demanding a debate in...
Edited on Fri Apr-25-08 12:03 AM by Alii
the convention...even though it will be over by then.

And then, while Obama's being inaugurated in January she'll still be demanding a debate. "I am the inevitable one...gimme my crown....Bill, please, you told me I was going win."

Enough is enough...IT IS OVER.

Please, please super delegates put her out of her misery.

8. Who needs her
Bill and Hillary have barely stopped in Portland, they have been trolling the rural vote by trying to "wow" voters with their name.

We Oregonians are used to doing things by ourselves. We lead the nation in so many great and so many lousy ideas that I don't see how any real campaigners think they could condescend to cheap ass bribery like the Senator from New York seems to be offering.

A partner in Green technology. PLLLLLEEEEEAAAASEE. The Northwest invented green technology and we have been pushing it upon ourselves for decades without any Federal help.

And she also wants to reopen the "thinning our National forests" debate in a cheap pander to logging interests.

Look, President Bill passed through our part of the country in 93 with a big flashy Salmon Sit down. He said he was going to engage all parties to come up with a solution. Guess what? Our salmon are still endangered, the feds haven't done jack crap about the dams that are choking the fish, and we never saw any real solutions. Kinda reminds me of his First Lady's failed Health initiatives.

Our great Governor Kitzhaber instituted the Oregon Health plan waaaaaay before most of the country and we are a model. Where was the Federal help then?

Empty promises behind an empty botox smile.

13. Why not two debates in Guam?
We can have the hacks from ABC moderate. We can ask Obama why he has two black children or why he doesn't wear a White Sox pin on his lapel since he indicated he was a Sox fan. Go to hell Hillary. You are just trying to get free media because your campaign in broke. Look, Hillary, I know you are upset that the Democratic party did not coronate you like you had planned but it is time for you to come to acceptance and move on.

14. I know Oregon...
and like Idaho, she will not have a chance, and I will be on the campaign trail explaining why....she neglected Idaho and now she's trying to be sincere about the NW??? screw Hillary and her desperate tactics...she wasn't saying all this when Obama was the only one to visit Idaho and have a crowd of 14,000 to see him, her presence or voice in neighboring Idaho was no where to be found and Obama won my state by 79%...
