The Republicans famously take every opportunity to misrepresent statements by Democratic candidates, yet are upset that John McCain's un-nuanced "100 years" statement is being shorthanded by the left. Okay, here's a point-for-point breakdown on why the statement is assailable.

1. Why isn't this sort of analysis on MSM?

This explains point by point why Iraq is different and why in the majority of Americans' opinion we need to leave. I would also argue we need to pull out of the 136 countries we have bases in and bring home our troops from the over 700 bases we have world wide. We need to turn away from empire building and turn to building our own country. Think of how many schools and hospitals we can build every year with half of the 700 billion dollar defense budget.
