4. Obama and I appearantly were not watching the same Rev. Wright video at the Press club and NAACP. |
|
Not once did Rev. Wright say anything divisive about race or other races.

has to deal with this crap. Sorry but Wright is a self serving jerk. Obama is trying to put an end to this primary by winning Indiana and NC. Then this idiot has to come out and run his mouth for his 15 mins of fame. Puts the Obama message right back on the defense and all you will hear is Obama rejecting Wright. Nothing about the issues.
I hope Wright is happy.

left BO with no choice...the GENERAL ELECTION is made of mostly WHITE EUROPEANS and most of them dont like Farrakhan and they dont like to hear JFK mocked the way it SEEMED wright was doing at the NAACP...i dont disagree with the message of the rev. on the whole, but he is a bit tone deaf politically...

7. Obama throws liberation theology and reconciliation under the bus. |

Obama is "angered" because Rev. Wright "commands the stage" for 3-4 days during "this debate" (meaning his presidential campaign) to talk about the poor and oppressed and American imperialism. Well, Obama can go s**w himself. I can not stand the pitiful corporate candidates that the Democratic Party offers us.

10. Obama had been more than kind to Wright |
|
Wright's comments from the pulpit had certainly been taken out of context and exploited by Hillary and the conservative media. The fact that Wright has now decided to hurl out a few incendiary bombs for the purpose of stirring up a media frenzy only hurts his cause and Obama's. 3 or 4 days? That equates to 5 or 6 months of nothing but Rev. Wright and zero discussion of the issues. Obama needed to disassociate himself from this guy quickly, and I'm glad he did so.

using the opportunity to speak in a more healing and unifying way, he stood unoquivically the more extreme assertions and, as Obama rightfully said, tried to lump all black churches in together and, most unfortunately used the old "people have not been attacking me, they have been attacking the black church and black religion." He was very wrong in that sentiment. It was about him, NOT the entire black church. He was far too defensive for an opportunity that could have been humble, healing, and truly indicative of a class act. This was a good move by Obama.
