Nixon defender and would-be Hitler appeaser Pat Buchanan thinks Obama should go to Iraq |
|
Because everyone that goes to Iraq gets a completely accurate picture of what's happening there. Like McCain. /sarcasm

1. Seems everyone in the GOP wants Obama to go to Iraq. |
|
If I were him I'd tell them to go to Iraq themselves and don't bother to come back.

5. Why don't McShame and Pat just come out and Say, "I dare you .What are you chicken?" |
|
It's the McShame/Bush doctrine of "back yard bully foreign policy" that permeates the entire right wing.
Grow up you little idiots.

6. Mostly disgree with Buchanan on almost everything |
|
Still, some how in spite of his faults , I respect him. He is an independent thinker and not cowed by the neocons. He even opposed and still opposes the war in Iraq. His magazine , American Conservative recently wrote the US might be better served under an Obama Administration. At least for one election cycle. He is deeply flawed, still he loves America more than the Republican party and its special interests. Another positive. He opposes many lousy GOP trade deals.

7. Respect is not a word I would ever use in the same sentence with. |
|
Pat Buchanan.
Just because he can put a sentence together does not make him worthy of respect. It is from those most intelligent in the GOP that we should expect more.
We're all flawed, but most of us admit it. You won't EVER hear such an admission from Pat. Most especially in the area of politics and Nixon. There is always room for hope and human growth. But I would not hold my breath waiting for pat to see the error of his ways.

8. Buchanan created CREEP which drugged Muskie in '72. He is up to the same tricks |

this election for his new boss General Electric which wants McCain in the WH so that it can build a fleet of nukes at tax payer expense to increase its profits by billions so that we can all glow in the dark.
Since Buchanan does not like wars for oil in the middle east, he is fine with a bunch of Chernobyls in our own backyards (just not in his backyard).
Buchanan is the Prince of Darkness. He is smarter than most of the people posting here at DU. If you think that he is not smarter than you are, then he has you fooled. He is at least as smart as Nixon was, probably smarter since he never went to jail, even after he lied to Congress.
Buchanan is what Rove wishes that he could be in his wildest dreams.

9. I have not heard him reminisce about the old Nixon days. |
|
I just weigh his opinions about Iraq and Free Trade and find those opinions rare for a Republican. That being said, His cultural war crusades verges on racist.
