3. Anything, and I mean ANYTHING...
That says "Goodbye DLC" and especially the excreble Al From, is just OK in my book.

17. Wrong, Hillary has just announced she has won the nomination
I really didn't make this up. Her email just arrived:

Another big win! Today in Puerto Rico, the voters spoke with a powerful voice to say that this race is not over yet. And thanks to your support, we're celebrating another great victory.

When all the votes in Puerto Rico are counted, our popular vote lead will be even bigger. More than 17 million people have cast their ballots for our campaign, more votes than any candidate has received in the history of the Democratic Party. Now there can be no doubt: the people have spoken and you have chosen your candidate. We are winning the popular vote.

The woman is bonkers.

Kinda like The Terminator, where the hand keeps crawling.

19. Is it possibly just campaign mode for fundraising to pay off debts?

25. Sadly being covered that way by traditional media
The more it is put out there unchallenged, the more she creates her fantasy as reality.

And why her low-information supporters feel they are being robbed.

It doesn't matter it is a huge lie if it continues unchallenged.

We all should be screaming everywhere with the real facts.

This post at DailyKos has all the numbers and the backup links My Math Beats Up Clinton Math.

4. Hah. They're Not Going Away For A While.
They're like the undead, ambling jerkily yet inexorably toward their goal - restoring the Clintons to power. They know that 2008 is over - it's 2012 that's in their sites now.

13. I get that same undead, terminator unending vibe myself
Have nightmares in which Hillary has herself installed in all fifty seven states as the Secretary of State.

5. Todd IMO is an efing idiot. It is not Obama's party and never should be
It should belong to those that work in the trenches for the party.

but lets be real. i think he was at least half right. the clintons did have a lot of power and influence and therefore a lot of control over the party, but they aren't as powerful as they used to be (or at least they aren't as powerful as people thought they were). and obama is a big reason for that. obama and his campaign deserve some credit for changing things.

8. Too bad Gore got screwed over and then we might not have had this situation
with Clinton's supposedly running the reins.

15. Gore getting screwed was a big part of the Clinton's plan....
"Big Dog" feigned being dissed by Gore over Lewinsky to ignore Al's run and concentrate on Hillary's Senate seat... bringing us up to 2008.

Gore and the Clinton's still aren't on speaking terms. THAT's one of the main reasons Gore didn't run this year. He wanted NOTHING to do with them and the DLC.

Edited on Sun Jun-01-08 09:03 PM by rebel with a cause
Gore that said he would not run because Clinton's would destroy anyone that got in their way. I don't have the link to that, maybe someone else has it. Well, they have tried but Obama has survived so far.....

Personal. I am back on oxygen after being off for over a year. Don't know if it is the breast cancer (operations) or this primary that has affected my heart. Time will tell. The operations are over, the primary keeps going, and going, and going...(picture a smilie with tubing in its nose laughing wildly.)

22. no link needed- i've heard that, too. and Obama has survived by rising above the fray.
a person of class. to me he is a working class hero.

personal back. my sister is a recent breast cancer patient- (mastectomy) so i am empathic at least vicariously. i have been "heartsick" by this extended primary, so obviously it's the primary for you as well. ;) thank god it will be over at SOME point!

in the meantime, be sure to check out this precious speech Barrack gave in front of The Corn Palace today. a beautiful spirit lifter!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CRtwTY93fvc

my thoughts and prayers go out to you, rebel, and to us- the whole country.

hang it there and keep in touch!

23. My regards to you and your sister.
Hope she is doing well. I cannot really complain, my sugery went well. It is just that my heart doesn't take much to get it off the track again. Heart arrhythmia can come or go, mine let up for a while but seems to be trying to coming back, thus the breathlessness. Like Gloria Gayner...I Will Survive. ;)

I watched his speech and love it. Thanks.

24. The world of ego in which the Clintons live is big enough only for their ego
And certainly not big enough for someone like Gore who has become a statesman.

16. The underlying tone of this primary WAS a battle ...
for the party ...

And, frankly, the reason that MOST elected SDs, and most of the SDs since the early rush to Hill, have come to BO ... As they have seen that is for real, they have moved toward him IN PART to move the party away from the Clintons ...

DLC takes back seat to DNC. Howard Dean, I am eternally grateful. Your foresight in putting in place a 50-state strategy coupled with a +3 congressional victory over the Republicans will assure that we are starting to do something in our country.
