Barack Obama's poll position against Hillary Clinton is on the rise, but they both are equal against McCain.

1. I hope some of our friends from the Clinton campaign take a look at this....
I am so tired of worn out argument. She's the stronger candidate? I saw a poll recently where Obama does better than Hillary against McCain in her home state of NY. I just don't understand how they can keep arguing that she's the better candidate.

16. Well... current GE polling says...
The three swing states she does better in are Ohio, Penn, and Florida. It's harder to find states with bigger totals in play. electoral-vote.com has Clinton swimming in electoral votes and Obama simply winning a pretty hearty amount. The general election map shows her winning more than a few states not generally known for being swing states. Honestly the map looks like (Bill) Clinton's 1996 reelection campaign win margin (states for states). It's as if the (Bill) Clinton supporters in those states are (Hillary) Clinton supporters.

She's lost the nomination and Obama is pretty set to win the general election. However, I'm not sure there isn't some merit to the argument that she would win by a larger margin. As much as I am a fan of the Clinton's from my youth, I really do want some outside blood with some real hope and hopefully down-ticket coat tails.

Though the state polling seems to indicate she'd win in the 340s whereas Obama wins at about 290. Not only does she crush Obama in the Appalachia regions but she appears to have enough crossover appeal in the polling to win a number of those states in the general election just as her husband did in 1996.

I'm not supporting her by any extent, but looking at the current snapshot of the polls she is doing better. I don't really think that polls prior to the full-fledged start of the general election are indicative of what will happen in the general election but unlike most of the crap she pulls out of her ass there is a bit of truth to the argument. It's a moot point as she's already lost the nomination. Further, I think the link between saying that a current snapshot of the polls shows her doing better vs. "the stronger candidate" is not a very well established one. If it were really true, she wouldn't have epic failed during the primaries (insert Mark Penn diatribe). Obama seriously ran a better campaign and generally that's a pretty good metric for determining the stronger candidate.

Both Clinton and Obama would defeat McCain, so by proxy this stands as more of a general election battle much like some of the districts where the Democrat will win and the primary is effectively the election. I think this is how she sees it and asking her to quit as such just seems a bit silly regardless how slim her chances.

That said, I hope she drops out really soon. She can't win and I'd prefer to move on to the next part and get those Clinton supporters behind Obama as soon as possible.

18. She does a little better against McCain now because
she's out of the direct line of fire. Were she the nominee, she'd be the target once again and her numbers against McCain would go down.

2. I use to be able to believe the media. Now when they tell me
information I like to hear, I hope that it is true, and visa versa. Just don't know what to think about the media at this point.

3. Hillary Clinton: "They've been telling me to stop running since January."
Another bullshit lie. This woman lies through her teeth every chance she gets. She does and says anything to advance her political career. :grr:

5. I'm glad to see those polls put us on top of McCain either way.
With better poll numbers and superior finances the White House is a lock.

8. That wasn't a very good report
because they never addressed the one thing that matters; The Electoral College.

As of now Clinton leads McCain 327 to 194 on the Electoral College.

Up until about a week ago, McCain was leading Obama, but right now Obama is ahead 276 to 238 (with 24 votes tied)

Clinton will not be the nominee, it's mathematically impossible. However, she is likely to continue to use her strong electoral showing as a way to either hammer her way into a VP slot or other critical position in the new administration. I think Obama won't go for that, and we just have to reconcile ourselves to beating McCain without Clinton and her rabid band of Hillacrats.

You're comparing apples and bowling balls.

Clinton has lost. She only wins the "popular vote" argument when she is allowed to count the votes herself. When counting real votes, cast by real voters, Obama is not only winning, Obama has already won.

How is the loser a stronger candidate than the person who beat her by a wide margin?

15. YOU'RE MAKING A VERY DUBIOUS ASSUMPTION
which is that Hillary winning a Democratic primary in certain states means that she will win in the general.

That wasn't true before she started becoming the CANDIDATE FROM HELL and it's not true now.

There were already so many people who despise her that she would very likely have lost to McSame Old Shit had she become the candidate.

Now, after showing the whole freaking world that she is a mentally unbalanced power whore she would more than likely lose even those "big" states where she beat Obama in the primary.

I've been a LIBERAL Democrat for almost 40 years and I swear that I will not vote to put her into ANY POSITION OF POWER regardless of whom she's running against. She is a soulless person who will do ANYTHING for power. We've already got one of them in the White House. I cannot in good conscience vote for another one.

9. People should keep in mind
that Barack ran a strategically better campaign that overcame her built-in name recognition advantage. Once he gets to concentrate on the GE he should be able to use those same strategies to consolidate an electoral college victory. How can people trust a campaign that thought California was a winner take all primary to read an electoral college map?

13. To be completely honest, I in general think the same thing during ALL elections
as the poll date grows close, those that still do not have a clue for whom they vote usually lead me to a genuine WTF moment...
