14. It really is a good story, but I missed the town where it happened.

Was he supposed to go to Greenwood, SC, but ended up in Greenville instead? I kind of missed that detail.

He is a real crowd pleaser, and he deftly handled the situation with a person feeling faint in the audience.

We used to have that happen all the time in outside venues. How hot WAS it in South Dakota on Sunday?

13. I saw this in the locker room at the gym! He is such a good orator!

I even got into a discussion with another "yuppy elderly" woman who identified herself as Hildegard, who moved to Oregon from Munich, Germany years ago.

She said that his speeches are wonderful, but then stated, quite seriously, that "they had such good speakers in my country during World War II. But their politics were very wrong -- and they were lying, as we found out too late."

She told me she is a registered Independent, one year younger than I am, who works with the Red Cross in disasters such as the Katrina hurricane. For that event, she was on a telephone bank when they were getting donation information. She said one woman apologized for not being able to give MORE than $1,000.

I did not get a chance to ask her when she preferred in the Presidential race!
