10. I'm actually not that offended by the last comment
about political ambition. Presidential candidates pander like that all the time, and at least McCain admitted to it. That's actually sort of admirable.

Too bad that he pandered to racists, though. No amount of honesty could make up for that.

13. Me neither
I agree with uberllama42.

I'll never vote for McCain, but the state of American politics is such that candidates feel compelled to support or condemn people or ideas for political purposes only -- not because they believe something, but because they think they have no choice but to come out with a strong statement or gesture. Remember when candidate Bill Clinton condemned Sistah Souljah or flew back to Arkansas to preside over the execution of a mentally challenged person on Death Row? It's reprehensible, but politicians do it way too often.

14. I'm not that offended by it, either.
He *seemed* somewhat chagrined by his ambition getting the better of him, and as you say, it was honest. The offense I take is from the totality that is John McCain.

I once respected him somewhat, and actually thought that, if a Rethug were elected, at least he was someone I could have kinda lived with. Look how wrong you can be. Hard to believe that, in his own way, he might actually be worse than GeeDubya.

11. did you make this?
it's very good! thank you. is there any way to get this chopped down to 2-2.5 minutes with just the clips for the heavy republicans I know that won't sit through nearly 7 minutes of this? I can certainly get them to answer for McCain's direct comments in a couple minute video, or do you know of the perfect video that's on youtube for that?

thanks for this - I will give this to anyone who will listen. I won't get replies from many people if I ask them to watch this, even pro-Democratic people, but if I get a 2 minute video, I can get them to answer why they still support him.

one thing I always ask Clinton supporters who say they'll vote McCain is, so where people stand on what they'll do in office means nothing to you, and you only vote for the person, not what they'll do - and you say you are an educated voter???

thanks again!

20. If you don't believe this guy is intentionally deceitful, He subpoened over 70 thousand
pieces of revealing information exposing the GOP senators and reps in the Jack Abramoff investigation wile chairman of the Indian Affairs committee just to keep them away from the public eye and boasted of suppressing this information in locked files in the senate building so republicans would not get in trouble. He released 2% of the records because they were real;ated to the tribes suits but the rest he keeps away from investigators through his manipulation of the senate rules. Corrupt and deceitful mixed with delusional authoritarian elitist thinking and behavior means the man should not even be allowed to be in the senate much less president.

I see what you mean. Sometimes McCain pops off and says what he's really thinking instead of what he's supposed to say. I think that's why he seems so catatonic when he's speaking these days. He doesn't want to even let himself get CLOSE to popping off another "100 years" gaffe. Or worse.

52. Great, but should be separate videos .... the one on Iraq should have this ...
... here is the case we need to make ...

How can the American people vote for a man who supported the Iraq war in 2002 - 2003 ...

who said on TV that it would be "quick" and "easy"

Who in June 2003 agreed with Bush that "the mission was accomplished"

who was a key cheerleader for that war from 2004-2006, going on TV to say we'd turned the corner multiple times (when we had not)

who then went to an Iraqi market in 2007 and LIED about the conditions ....

a man who continues to intermingle Sunni / Shiite and Al Qaeda / Iran as if they were the same thing (just as Bush has done)

... a man who said that it would be ok if we were in Iraq for 100 years ...

a man voted against the Webb improved GI bill

and who recently said that our troops levels are below pre-surge levels when they are not ...

One video ... McCain WRONG on Iraq 2002-2008

Much of the video needed for the above already exists ... If I had the skills, I'd make it!!

53. Make sure you honor John McCain for his contribution to this country...
but under no circumstance should we elect him President. The man has spent his life in public service and we should respect that. Becoming swiftboat hammers or mocking him is counterproductive and mean. We can beat him using his record against him. There is really no sense in becoming like those types of people.

And either leave it out altogether or do something eerier but only fading in and out when the titles are up on the screen.

Also, no exclamation marks.

Otherwise it's good, but the very first piece is where McCain has his back to the camera and that's a biggie. Subtitle that shit. Caption it.
