Although I think Cheney is probably the sociopath and Bush is just an idiot who is easily swayed by the sociopath. Both are evil, nonetheless, but I think Bush honestly believes what he's doing is right (or has convinced himself or allowed himself to be convinced). Cheney just doesn't care.

Of course that's my opinion. Without ever speaking to either man, nor having any real insight into their personal lives, it can only be an opinion.

I do hope that both men are arrested and convicted for war crimes and are then psychoanalyzed. I am really curious to know what goes on in the minds of these two.

But seriously, he's not soft, he's just tries to have a balanced view sometimes, which I can appreciate (generally speaking). That's shocking to some considering his sometimes fierce and harsh rants (that includes rants against blue dog dems).

I just took a look at the link. I was going to agree with the previous post about Cenk going soft but I take it back now. I usually think that Cenk reads my mind when I watch the posted vids, perhaps I'm not willing to be balanced just yet. I don't think Letterman went too far. It just seems that way compared to what passes for the left wing point of view in the media today. Once again, I'm not disagreeing with Cenk, I'm just not as generous as him in giving these guys the benefit of the doubt.

15. I do think he is a little toooo balanced on this issue though...

It is naive to honestly think that Bush is so stupid that he actually thinks he is doing good for America. After the malice of some of the actions of the executive over the years, after the patriot act and habeas corpus, I simply cannot believe anyone could be so ignorant.

13. I Understand Cenk's Hope and I Vacillate As Well...

It breaks down in to sincerity of intent. Unless I can gain more access to the Bushies, I have to maintain that they are criminals FIRST, Americans second. I think what Cenk describes so well is more what the general right wing population believes.

They sincerely believe that being a self-centered, nationalistic, greedy, superstitious, anti-intellectual moron IS being a good American.

I really like Cenk, and part of the reason is his experience as a former rightie. He's bright and insightful and a great asset to the Left.

I think like Letterman..Cenk is being very kind. And, Letterman is being more like how the evidence has presented, imo, itself over the last 8 years.
