Everyone seemed dazed and in shock, but Chuck Todd was so visibly hurting, I just wanted to pet him. When he just said "it's not fair" I actually started crying. I guess that's weird how we respond to people we have never even shared a physical space with, but there it is.

seemingly 100% in control. I think that was why his response was so shocking to me. It was so raw.
KO wears his heart on his sleeve all the time, part of why I like him, but still.

he seems young to me for the role -- Political Director -- that NBC (and I would assume Russert personally) has given him. As you say, you wish you could reach out and give him a hug or something.
