No doubt McCain's VP! He bends over backwards for the delusional vote of the RRR.

12. I don't think that it is conclusive
That this guy is trying hard to make the wingnuts love him. Although I clearly don't agree with the guy's position regarding ID, I do believe that it is possible for a minority to hold right wing conservative views. There have been numerous polls taken that suggest that hispanics and blacks are quite conservative on many issues but vote Democratic because of one or two key issues. And I'm not sure al of the wingnuts actually love the guy--his opponent for governor had some issues.

13. Attack him for the right reasons
Attack him for what he says, for what he believes and for his politics, but not for his being a minority, his skin color, or for his religion. None of us liked it when our guy is attacked for the reasons mentioned above.

14. i am attacking him for the right reasons
and i happen to be of the same race as him. the guy comes off as a total phony to me. i hope he doesn't get picked as vp and loses as gov in next election and his political career is over.

and minorites like him do try hard to make wingnuts love them by being as right wing as they can be.

22. That figures. Ever heard of the story of Indian Spiders?
The story goes like this..

In the insects section of a zoo they had kept live species of spiders from various parts of the world in different jars, covered of course with a perforated lid so the spiders don't escape - except for the jar from India which was wide open.

This kid asked the volunteer : Why is there no lid on the jar of Indian spiders? Wouldn't they escape?

The volunteer replied : Don't worry kid, these are Indian spiders. If one tries to climb UP and escape, the others will sure pull him down.

Am from that same race too buddy, but don't share your views. You are welcome to attack his positions, not his pre-dispositions - his race was not something he chose, the same as you or I.

23. WTF ?
the reason i don't like him is because he is a wingnut and a phony. there are others like Dinesh Dsouza who are also indian but i view him as actually being right wing.

in Piyush Jindal's case i view him as a phony doing many of the right wing things he does just so he could be accepted and rise politically.

He supposedly majored in Biology? Anyone who has taken Biology 101 should understand why there is overwhelming evidence for Natural Selection. First the exorcism bit, now opposition to Darwin - how much more regressive can you get? The Republicans - leading us proudly into the 17th century!

20. Ok, let's teach our kids ID and UFOLOGY? same thing right?
neither one has empirical evidence to back up their claims. Ufology, does have slightly more ground than ID, they do have some peculiar video documentation. ID has NO evidence whats-so-ever, it is pseudoscience bullshit.

24. I'm not an expert on ID, and I think ID as a political issue is totally fake, but
intelligent design is a nice way to view the universe. It is certainly constructed in an intelligent way, a super-intelligent way in fact, way beyond our ability to understand in its totality. There are a jillion "facts" to show this.

The problem is that this is a WAY OF LOOKING AT THE UNIVERSE NOT A THEORY THAT OPPOSES EVOLUTION.

The Repubs constantly look for ways to inject religion or personal social issues into politics for their own political gain.

The problem with the way the ID issues is presented is that it's presented as a way to prove that some intelligence outside the world we see, beyond the world we see, and yet with all the qualities of our dimension, i.e., some white-haired white man on a throne out beyond the edges of the universe, uses his intelligence to order and design the universe and therefore it's not necessary to try to explain how things change.

God is. That's it. The Bible indicates that as well. When God was asked in the Old Testament about this he said I am that I am. God IS intelligence. God IS design. God doesn't impose it from the outside. Evolution happens to be the most intelligent way to bring about change in a dimension based on time. The design is a part of the mechanism itself.

But why bring this into the political arena and oppose it to evolution? For votes alone and to arouse the religious and make them think that scientists are atheists and anti-God. Scientists as nearly as I can tell are made up of religious and non-religious, atheists, agnostics, etc. The percentages may be slightly different but not a whole lot. How we look at the world is our business, but facts should be respected.

I don't mind these people seeing the world as intelligently designed; I object to them denying the facts that evolution helps us to understand. There's no opposition except among those looking to arouse antagonisms where there really are none.

27. You can get up to speed on ID vs Science by starting here...
United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania Tammy Kitzmiller, et al. Plaintiffs v. Dover Area School District, et. el. Defendants Case Number 04cv2688 decision of December 20, 2005. Another source on this subject would be on the PBS web site (NOVA) at http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/id/.

I accept the null hypothesis for god(s) existing until proven otherwise. I believe in the material world and do so because of my scientific background. To believe in fairies in the sky or everlasting life seems too incredible to me. As my father taught me, beware those with extraordinary claims for they are looking to control you or take your money from you or both.

32. There is no such thing as the tooth fairy..
nor is there such a thing as gawd(s).

The universe is not constructed in an intelligent way nor was it brought into existence with us in mind. ID is pseudoscience bullshit, you can not go on and say that ID is legitimate without first bringing fourth empirical evidence for the existence gawd(s).

If you can not provide such evidence, than your defense for ID is null and void.
