1. Man ....I certainly hope not!!!!
The internet is truly one of the last vestige's of free speech. And a free flow of ideas no matter how rancorous the dialog can get,

2. End of the Internet? Well, good riddance then.
We can all go back to reading, walking, gardening, chatting with friends over a cold beer. You know, the REAL world.

To hell with all this Internet crap anyway. I knew it was just a temporary fad all along. :)

7. Agreed. I'll gladly give up the portion of my income I make from
Web development - hey, I'd make it back by people going back to printing things on paper like they used to.

Almost every single time I try to actually DO something on the Internet (like trying to find information, as opposed to, say, hanging out on DU) I end up getting angry. 99.999% of the companies who have websites don't have Clue Fucking One about how to structure that site so you can actually find out something about what they make, or buy something from them.

You all know that's true.

Good ridance to bad rubbish if the Internet goes away. Except, fuck me, I'd have to have a FAX machine again. How I HATED those things.

Here's the recipe for making gelatin transfer plates for doing mimeograph (Hectograph) copies at home, including ink recipes:

I do so miss the smell of a fresh mimeographed sheet. Those of you who went to school back in the 50's and 60's will remember the VERY FIRST thing you did when the teacher handed out test papers was to lift the test paper to your nose and take a big, long sniff of that wonderful mimeograph smell.
