McCain nukes anti-Michelle meme, saying "I really didn't love America until" being captured |
|
Also, McCain's comments were excluded from FOX's transcript of his interview with Sean Hannity. (Big surprise, eh?) I wrote more about that here: http://www.jedreport.com/2008/06/damaging-mccain.html

2. John McCain, why did you hate America? |
|
Why won't some fucking "journalist" just ask him this one simple question, live?

3. I really think this is a dumb parallel to make, ... |
|
....and it is doing nothing but making people look like idiots. Take the damn high road, tell the peron they ar wrong on their views, and then move on. Constantly trying to justify them in different manners makes people look childish and silly. I support Obama, but look... John McCain was being beaten in a torture camp. Regardless of what you think of him, when he says he never didn't really love America until then he wished he was home so he wasn't get cain whipped or whatever they were doing to him, you have to stop for a moment. Yes, Michelle is being unfairly attacked, and her words are being misquoted, but sitting around pointing fingers that he said it before she said it is a waste of my time. It is basically the same damn things the republicans do every campaign, and democrats eat up and try to defend themselves. Ignore it. Don't play to the bully's level, otherwise you are no better.

4. The truth doesn't matter in politics |
|
It's the perception that is out there that people grasp onto... they watch the 10-second news segments because they can't take the time out (like the two of us, who are clearly more informed) to find out what the truth is... you have to play by those rules to be elected. Taking the moral high-ground does nothing for you by the majority.
At least this way, McSame's gaffe can be seen on par with Obama's and MAYBE we can finally move on... my fingers are crossed!

5. The point is that McCain had plenty of things to love before his time as a POW. |

Engaging GOP attack mode:
Nothing in America had earned the Adult John McCain's love in the 31 years before he was shot down? Nothing? Not winning the Second World War? Not our regular and orderly transitions of power based on the rule of law? Not freeing millions of Jews from the Nazi's? Not the fact that we feed and defend the world? Not that we lead in science and technology research? Not even when McCain graduated from the United States Naval Academy? Not even McCain's grandfather and father who were admirals in the United States Navy taught him to love America? Nothing?
Not even the fact that McCain was able to use his fathers position as an Admiral in the Navy to guarantee he became a naval aviator even though he had graduated 4th from the bottom at the USNA?
Not the fact that we saved the entire world from the Japanese Empire had made John McCain at the age of 31 love his country in his entire adult life?
How sad. I certainly don't want this blind pessimist as commander in chief of the USA.
