1. I wish in vain. Security was never the issue. Immunity was. |

2. Obama had better get off of his lazy Chicago butt |
|
and take a definitive position. And none of this I'll reserve the right to do something after you elect me. We need to hear from the Constitutional Professor that the FOurth Amendment is something that he upholds in spite of the politics of the day and that he will oppose this FISA bill. Let the Right spin it any way they know how but let Obama be a man of principle.

Yeah!
What's all this "we'll fix it later" crap....when they could do it now! What if Obama loses? Are they gonna fix it then?
You'll note a majority of Dems voted "No". Each enabler who gave a "yea" should be targeted hard. made to explain themselves (Pelosi's blah-blah blah was lame and, as Dean said, just not true)and threatened with being ousted next time around. If they're responding to threats, WE should be threatening them. But, of course, that means that "we" would have to have some kind of power. Good luck!

3. Why is it that every time |
|
Why is it that every time the rights of the people goes up against protecting a cooperation, the cooperation wins every time? I've gotten sick of the democrats rolling over to every whim of President Bush. Where was Obama and Hillary? They both claimed to be fighters during the primaries. Why didn't they fight for our 4th amendment rights? Why didn't they fight for our Constitution? I know to the RePukes the Constitution is nothing more than an inconvenience but I thought the Dems valued our constitution more then winning in November. Don't wait for November to start to fight start the fight now. I would to see the day when either Rep. Wexler or Rep. Kucinich is Speaker of the House because Pelosi is only ebnabling the Bush crime syndicate to continue to rip our constitution to shreds. :grr: :banghead: :argh: :banghead:

6. To be fair, Obama and Hillary haven't voted on this yet -- |
|
we'll see how they do next week. I'm assuming they'll both vote against it, but that won't be enough to stop it from being enacted.
MAYBE Dodd will rise up again - although since he's been criticized for his mortgage deal, he may want to keep a low profile.
Politics. :grr:
