sitting on the leases while drilling elsewhere. Kind of like what they are doing here in the US sitting on leases. letting the land acrue in value until they can get permission to go offshore where taxes may not apply. The game is about controling the price of oil.

4. Cheney is going to try anything in the next 6 months.
The clock is running out. The Fascists know they have 6 months of open season left, so they are going to throwing the kitchen sink at this stuff.

6. And regardless of who is president
what chance do you think we have of ever getting out of Iraq if we have our oil companies there?

10. And sites like this, and TPM, and Daily Kos, are the answer
They are how it gets fixed. The MSM wants to gloss over, say, Trent Lott praising Strom Thurmond's Presidential run in 1948, the blogs won't let them get away with it. And then the stuff from these sites gets on Stewart's show, and Colbert's show, and Olbermann's show, and the people who want to hear critical coverage of the government - and there are more and more of those folks everyday, hence Olbermann's new adventures in ratings heights, can get their information either on the internet or, for about 2 hours' worth a day at least, from TV.

And it's sites like this that are becoming more powerful by the day. Barack Obama does not win the Democratic nomination without the internet. Doesn't happen. And we're just beginning to flex our muscles. Politics and the media are undergoing a monumental transformation, and it is just in the knick of time. Actually, it's about 8 years too late, but still, there is time to get this mess cleaned up, if we get on it right away.

12. No....it was because they hate us for our freedom
It still kills me that we have millions that are stupid enough to believe that.

13. Ironically, there ARE people who hate us for our freedoms and they're running OUR country.
I know what you mean, though. That was some lame propaganda they sold everyone. It is very disappointing to find that the public isn't smarter than that.
