From Personal Democracy Forum 2008: During the internet campaign directors' plenary, Mark Soohoo of the McCain campaign and Tracy Russo of the Edwards campaign argued about how important it was for the next president to understand the internet.

1. Looks like McCain's guy got Russo-Rolled.

Tracy is dead on accurate in this point. So we depend on McCain's lobbyists, oh I'm sorry advisers, to give him the information he needs to make a decision on net neutrality? The bulk of FISAs communications are e-mails now, you think it's important to know about computers when you're crafting legislation on their usage?

Haven't we already gone down the road of "I don't need to know about that topic, my advisers can brief me"? This isn't some obscure political point that may or may not come up in the course of 8 years, this is the single most important invention of the past few generations.

Somebody who's too intellectually lazy to figure out something that important when they're running for the highest office in the land should be fucking ashamed of themselves.
