"All of the decades-old, conventional Beltway mythologies are trotted out here to praise Obama. Democrats move to the "center" by embracing hard-core right-wing policies. Democrats will look "weak" unless they turn themselves into Republican clones on national security. A President becomes "strong" when he tramples on the Constitution and the rule of law in the name of keeping us safe. Democrats must embrace the Right and repudiate the base of their own party, and they must support Dick Cheney's policies while "standing up to the ACLU."

5. Sad To See KO's Head Slowly Sinking... |
|
...into the large sphincter muscle that is the DC Beltway.
He was just showing minor signs of recovering from his Hillabamania -- caused by being grafted onto Matthews & Co. Stooges for hours on end, forced to maximize minutia found in the collective beltway belly-button lint.
And then -- because he's the only one able to maintain his composure -- he gets thrust into the pulpit as Ring Master for the RusserTopian Tales Of The Sacred Euphemedian Knights.
I would imagine the effect is not unlike any other cult programming.
Still, Impeachophobia is the root disease. Catching that made him susceptible to the others. Perhaps he can recover. And Murrowness can triumph over Truthiness.
Greenwald's "intervention" is a good start.

And Obama is still better than McSame. ;)
Interesting "Rolling Stone" cover, too! So, Obama's finally broken down to wearing the flag pin, but is laughing about it? Kind've like an inside joke to the ones in the loop but at the same time he's projecting "American patriot" to the "low information voters." Nice move.

8. so let me see if I have this right . . . |
|
the telecoms clearly broke the law, but it's okay to forget about it as long as we make sure it doesn't happen again? . . . and no punishment is required for their past crimes? . . . how does this make sense to anyone? . . .

10. People people! The Dems are a corporate party... |

Edited on Fri Jun-27-08 06:56 PM by johnnyrocket
just like the GOP...the difference is the GOP is egregiously for the super rich and take corporate whoredom to a new stratosphere.
The Dems like to think about the little guy, but sadly, stay tied to corporate power.
