One day they lambaste Obama for advocating negotiations with Iran--two weeks later they send this bloviater onto ABC to trumpet the need for Iran to negotiate with Israel. But isn't that what Israel began doing immediately after Obama spoke about this? Why didn't the MSM report this? Do they think the American public are a pack of goats? The Arabs are right now negotiating the sale of Iraqi oil with China, Russia, and India. While these clowns here in the US make parking lot noise concerning Iran, the deal is being cut with the important players. Gee thanks Mr. Bush.

1. Ahmadinejad doesn't control the military, Ayatollah Khamenei does. Khamenei has condemned the attacks of 9/11. It doesn't matter what Ahmadinejad says anymore than it matters what someone like Lieberman says, Neither Lieberman or Ahmadinejad are the Commanders in Chief of their respective militaries.

2. Iran doesn't have the abilities to strike us violently as their ICBMs cannot reach us. Their navy would be blocked by us. I seriously, seriously doubt the Iranian gov. wants an all out war against the US. It is very unlikely. It is the US (or at least the neocons) who want a war with Iran.

3. Iran may have halted its WMD program according to the NIE back in 2003. Bush and Cheney seem hostile to peaceful, diplomatic solutions though.

4. The vast majority of the Iranian public voted for moderate reformers before Ahmadinejad. The previous reformer president got 70% of the vote. The only reason Ahmadinejad is president is all the moderates were disqualified. This crap about the public screaming 'death to america' is not persuasive when you realize the vast majority of Iranians voted for a moderate reformer before Ahmadinejad was essentially given the presidency.

5. Sibel Edmonds case is being suppressed no matter what happens with Iran.

6. Iran has had chemical and biological weapons for 2 decades and hasn't used them. If it has had WMD since the 80s and hasn't used them, what evidence is there that they'd use nuclear WMDs? That makes no sense. Iran has nerve agents and hasn't used them, but will use a nuclear weapon the day after they get it? What kind of logic is that?
