When I first started reading about Gramm and the shenanigans he was pulling in the 80s, I breathed a sigh of relief when he got out of Congress. Now, of course, like all bad GOP ideas, he is back and still causing havoc.

Doesn't Bill Clinton deserve some of the blame here? If Graham was operating like this in the 90's and these laws got passed that has to mean Bill signed some of them into law.

It's not incompetence this is deliberate and was, is very successful, the hundreds of billions that disappeared from ENRON was diverted somewhere...and like organized crime, after the deed they set fire to the building to destroy the evidence, in this case WTC7, where all the dossiers concerning ENRONs criminal investigation where held, a coincidence for sure !
