P.U.M.A is a swift boating organization, and we have proof! Don't let the GOP swift boat a truly remarkable candidate!

18. Darragh Murphy, the founder of PUMA PAC, donated $500 to McCain in 2000
Edited on Thu Jul-17-08 07:25 PM by mcg

Now, if you were a lifelong Democrat who thought Al Gore was going to win 2000, why would you bother getting involved in the GOP primary? Why would you donate $500–a sizable sum–just for the sake of sinking a potential nominee for the other party?

Plus, in 2000, McCain was seen as far bigger threat to the Democrats than George Bush–Bush was a little-known Governor from Texas, while McCain was, at the time, known for being a reform-minded moderate and a Vietnam war hero to boot.

Also note that Murphy didn’t give a penny to her “hero” Al Gore–not in the primary, and not in the general, not at any time.

Also, note that she says she voted for McCain in the primary–last time I checked, Massachusetts has a closed primary. You have to either be a registered Republican or not registered with any party to vote–now, why wouldn’t a self-described “lifelong Democrat” be registered as a Democrat?

22. Another PUMA, Paula Abeles, waited until May to donate to Clinton; in 2003 pretended to be black.
May was the same month that Murphy donated as "PUMAPAC/BLOGGER". By May the primary was basically over and it was too late for a donation to help Clinton. She was supposedly acting as a Clinton volunteer yet waited to donate until it was too late to help Clinton, but I suspect not too late for her real motive - a masquerade.

Masquerading is nothing new for Abeles. In 2003 she masqueraded as a black woman.

http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/0608/From_Jeffersons_vs_Hemingses_to_McCain_vs_Obama.html

A key organizer of John McCain's meeting Saturday with former supporters of Hillary Clinton is best known for her role in another bitter American fight: The effort by some white descendants of Thomas Jefferson to keep his possible African-American descendants out of family gatherings. ...

The wife of a Thomas Jefferson family association official said Friday that she masqueraded as a 67-year-old black woman on an Internet chat room in a bid to keep descendants of a reputed Jefferson mistress out of this weekend's family reunion.

"It might have been somewhat unethical," said Paulie Abeles of Washington, D.C., who participated for eight months in the Yahoo! message board created for relatives of Jefferson slave Sally Hemings.

"It might have been childish, but I really think I was working in the best interest of the majority of the family members to make the reunion a calm and civilized gathering," she said.

Oh, so if there were any negros there it wouldn't have been calm and civilized?

24. Mantouvalos of justsaynodeal.com heads a Public Relations firm
http://nobhillobserver.blogspot.com/2008/06/quick-look-at-anti-obama-pro-hillary.html

Please note that Cristi Adkins is one of the backers of Clintons4McCain.com and involved with Allen Media Strategies. Catch this clip from Cristi on Fox News - ...
Curious that a group supposedly fueled by the grass roots has not one but essentially two Public Relations Company working for it. A quick search of "Andonia Public Relations" shows that it is headed by Diane Mantouvalos and it has specialized in attacking Obama and the Democratic Party for not worshiping Hillary Clinton. She's also a favorite on Faux News - ...

http://www.allenmediastrategies.com/

Allen Media Strategies client Homer Hickam appears nationally on Fox News Channel!

http://ilind.net/2008/07/05/saturdaycats-on-the-4th-unity-spawns-division-and-another-little-glimpse-of-kaaawa/

... Diane Mantouvalos never made a reportable contribution to Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

I am trying to find more dirt on Diane. I know something there is not up to snuff.
PUMA was on Fox news 7 days after it's creation. That is mraculous. Justsaynodeal.com was on Fox only ONE day after their inception. ONE DAY.

5. It's pretty obvious
Edited on Thu Jul-17-08 08:57 AM by DesertedRose
No true progressive Democrat would vote for McCain knowing his history and record.

PUMAS have, however, managed to siphon off a fraction of Democrats who happen to be racist (Dixiecrats). They weren't planning to vote for Obama anyway; those voters need to go "home" to the GOP.

Operation Chaos.

Edited to add: Excellent anti-PUMA sites listed! Show 'em some love.

6. Thank you
As the founder of yestodemocracy.com I want to thank DU for displaying this and advocating TRUTH. I am disgusted with this swiftboat organization and the evidence continually mounts and mounts.
Not only is PUMA a cesspool for ignorance, hatred, and all things Anti-Democrat but their coalition has evolved into something racist, sexist, and cultish. They have, in an essence, become the exact thing that they sought out to hate.

all the best,
Christina

8. I like your website
You have all the proof one one page. It's simple, it's unambiguous, and the GOP will choke on it.

I was a strong Hillary supporter, but have never had any animosity toward Obama. It was disappointing to see her lose, but our "second best" is far better than most of the "best" choices we've had. And Hillary is now a strong Obama booster, too. That's the way the Democratic Party has always worked.

So the creation of PUMA came as a surprise to me. I literally knew NO Hillary supporters who were planning to vote for McCain, and only ONE who was going to skip voting for President (she has since changed her mind).

PUMA is a trojan horse. It will fool no one.

And ... Welcome to DU!

9. Neat.
Thanks for the warm reception :)
I certainly hope someone picks this up and rides with it because Fox has been allowing PUMA all the time they so desire to sit on television and spread PUAMs collective animosity.
It's all to apparent to those who remember '04 and bother to look!
Personally I find what the GOP is doing to be entirely misogynistic and horrifying.
Though I supported Senator Obama throughout the primaries I know hands down I would have voted Clinton.

Thank you for welcoming me, I will have a gander around and see what other trouble I can get myself into.
