8. In fairness to McCain

He has a 100 year plan. Now that we are wrapping up this magnificent victory in Iraq, we need to move on to bestow the blessings of American freedom on the people of Iran. They will greet us as liberators and with gladly join with their brothers to the west to form a new Greater Iraq, which will, of course, share a border with Pakistan. However, to be brutally precise, the peoples of Pakistan and their soulmates in India will also be joining hand in hand, so technically the border will be between Iraniaq and Pakistandia.

When I heard him say that i had to double check a world map, then I realized that he was talking about Iraqi-Pakistan border in his head. Wonder what geography he'll screw up next.

14. What really really bothers me about this is that

I told a few people I know about what McCain said today and almost all of them gave me blank stares like...and? In fact a few people asked incredulously, "they don't border each other?"

We are all doomed.

15. Oddly I think that some of the youtube folks...

...are surreptitiously using this misspeak (he just said the wrong country than he meant to say) to push his "surge worked" malarky he goes into after that. Most of the videos fail to cut that bullshit off the end and let it go on forever. So I'm going to rec this one up. Though it's funnier to put up the map with arrows at the end.
