At a Denver town hall meeting on July 7, John McCain called Social Security an "absolute disgrace." The Alliance for Retired Americans doesn't think so, and nether do the people of Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania.

1. Social Security can so easily be fixed it's laughable

All you need to do is remove the cap so upper income people who have made their wealth off the backs of the working class, pay into the system with the same percentage that working people do. Social security will then be solvent for 100 years. But of course upper income people paying their fair share to help working Americans is everything Republicans hate. They would much rather cut all your benefits entirely and while they're at it just send your job overseas or hire someone at slave wages from India to come over and do it.
