Keith talks to Jonathan Turley about Bush might pre-emptively pardon anyone who committed crimes in his administration and an Obama legal advisor Cass Sunstein who has said that only the most egregious crimes would or should be prosecuted.

1. Obama will not hold this administration accountable?
It is interesting how the lawyers in our country come done on either side of the Consitiution. I guess that the law is fluid when your an important person. Apparently the law is not that important, and either is the Constiution. How in the world have we fallen to such low expectations surrounding our most precious body of government?

8. it does start to feel like BushCo will have gotten away with it all
even with Obama in office - Obama et al. will certainly not commit crimes like BushCo. But it's very frustrating to think about all of that being swept under the rug.

4. This is exactly why I want Turley as AG!
And then, on to the Supreme Court!

Pisses me off that the Dems are allowing this administration to skate.

9. If this is true, than Obama does not support our democracy
He supports the Oligarchy and we are the chumps.

So much for Obama's Constitutional law credentials. He is willing to help the Repukes trash the Constitution to get into the White House.

11. that Democracy Now interview I linked above is perplexing
His advisor(?) seems to be leaning toward forgive and forget yet also points out that Obama studied constitutional law and would be committed to following the Constitution. Which would sound like, way better than Bush (no surprise there), but let's not bother going after Bush et al.

20. It is for this reason (and the FISA vote) that I am having
mucho confusion of what HOPE and CHANGE during the primary meant.

No HOPE in prosecuting the * cbal for their assaults on our Comstitution./

No CHANGE in the way our government conducts business - more of the same status quo.

Anyone?

10. By not prosecuting Rove & Co., these Dems are willing to sacrifice one of their own -- Siegelman
Siegleman deserves justice and when our Democratic leaders are willing to sacrifice our Constitution to cover up their own transgressions, it make me ashamed of being a Democrat.

What is with these guys anyway? Are they trying to lose? I really don't get this strategery of collaboration with heinous criminals.

17. This saddens me greatly about Obama and our government
1. Even if our own government doesn't hold these crooks accountable, can't they still be tried internationally.

2. Debating the collapse of the Soviet Union and the fall of the Berlin Wall, the Republican argument is that it was the Reagan arms build-up and the inability of the Soviet Union to compete economically that doomed that empire. Others look within the Soviet Union and Central European societies and the fact that the society (from the generals and political leaders down to the man in the street) ceased to believe in the lies espoused by the communists governments.

18. I'm sure President Obama will pressure foreign governments to squash trials of Bush Admin officials
The whole purpose of the Dems allowing Bush & Co. to walk scot free is to keep the coverup of Dem leaders who were accomplices to Bush's crimes.

But I can see Cindy Sheehan using Bugliosi's book to go after Bush & Co. for murder. Cindy will give Obama the finger if he tries to pressure her to rescind her lawsuit against Bush. Hopefully, she'll find a DA somewhere who will prosecute Bush. I wonder if she can launch a civil suit against Bush after he leaves the White House for good?

19. If these dirty rotten lousy fascist slime are not held accountable ....
NO-FUCKING-THING else matters, NOTHING! They will go back to work undermining democracy on every level and start the whole-shithouse mess overagain.
Fuck Obama! or any other stupid son-of-a-bitch who does not see this. I just hope I get to see you motherfuckers suffer the consequences of your gutlessness.
