1. "Maddow is here saying "It is supposed to be illegal
Edited on Fri Jul-25-08 10:11 PM by truedelphi
For the government to use the media as a propagandizing tool."

Well, it is also supposed to be illegal to not abide by the Geneva Convention, and it is supposed to be illegal to detain people without benefit of having charges filed against them, and yes, Congress is supposed to declare the wars we fight, especially, one would assume, those wars which cost trillions of dollars and go on for a hundred years.

So, no Shit Sherlock, why are you so upset, Ms Maddow??

There is very little about this current government which is legal.

3. I've never wanted to punch my computer as much as I have now
I get so pissed off watching this shit day after day, I get so angry watching this shit on tv or reading this garbage on the internet. I'm not really going to punch my computer but sometimes when drinking (like now) and watching politics on tv or internet I find myself close to chucking the remote at the screen. This shit is so infuriating. I was really riding high this week with Obama's trip overseas and how flawless it's been but then the media has to shit on my parade. I'd be really worried if this were 15-20 years ago but now with the internet I really think that alot of the electorate gets info online without the MSM filter and that this years politics will change how things are done. No more lying and smearing. No more greed. This country is about to become what we've been destined to when this all started.

After review, this post seems very off topic. My apology's.

4. Well, that's only a little infuriating.

I should feel relieved that it's actually been said now.

But of course, I'm not. Because the very people who NEED to know that this happens aren't going to ever hear about it.

5. K&R McClellan just confirmed what many already knew or suspected.
I wonder is if any charges will be filed against them for this illegal act. It is illegal, isn't it?

6. Today is a new day.
I don't think I ever expected to see this day come to life. We knew it all along, but, I don't think that I ever expected to hear it said in a way that put away any shadow of a doubt.

By the way, when you look at the video, watch how Bush's pant legs flop out so strangely when he walks. It reminds me of a puppet on a string.

8. Hannity on Gannon: "a terrific .... correspondent for Talon News"
HANNITY: Now, Jeff Gannon, who is a terrific Washington bureau chief and White House correspondent
for Talon News, actually shot me an e-mail today, and he's about to break a story in an exclusive about
these CBS documents.

http://mediamatters.org/items/200502100001

And when "they" wanted to plant the "Dan Rather is not to be trusted story" they used Fox .....
but the White House has lots of the media too ... plant a story in the N.Y. Times and then quote
that same story later as proof of their positions ...... hold a 11/3/2004 meeting @ the White House
and tell the press they are not allowed to report anything about the election being rigged .....
CBS edits out damning parts of the Val Plame story on Sixty Minutes ...... put W in a phony ranch
and have reporter after reporter talk about "Bush going to his ranch" ...... hell what about all
this "the surge has worked crap?"

9. And hopefully the truth will set us free . . . .
I've assumed for years that all MSM was controlled by the present administration. They cover and convey only what the White House wants you to know. Their method is to close down and/or cloud stories that threaten the Party by interjecting some absolute nonsensical Hollywood gossip.
It becomes pretty obvious when watching multiple journalists interviewing cut Democratic participants short not allowing them to complete their answers to a question while allowing Republican participants to ramble on repetitively forever . . . a good example is Lindsey Graham!
Chris Wallace is perhaps one that truly uses this method as a standard procedure.

10. This is why the Fairness Doctrine has to be reinstated
I posted these points before, but they are what we need to take back our airwaves from the Nazi Republic Party:

1) Amend the Communications Act of 1996 to:
2) Reinstate the Fairness Doctrine
3) Force divestiture
4) No entity may own more than 5 media properties in the US. Period (Media properties include newspapers, TV stations, Radio stations, Broadcasting companies, motion picture studios, talent agencies, software companies, entertainment production companies, cable systems, web pages, advertising agencies, publishing companies, broad and narrowband companies, web hosting sites and webpages)
5) Media companies may not have interlocking directorates
6) No media company may own more than one media property in a market
7) Advertisers are held responsible for the content of media they purchase advertising for
8) Newspapers, and broadcasting companies are responsible for their content
9) All Media companies are taxed at 25% of their gross income, the funds derived will finance real public broadcasting with no corporate ties.
10) The airwaves belong to the American people, not to Murdoch, GE, Redstone or any other billionaire.
11) Enact a Three Strikes Rule in the media. Three lies and you're out. Freedom of Speech does NOT include the freedom to lie!

This is a start to take back the country.

18. Here here....
That should be one of the first things done...behind voter reform, redoing FISA (or maybe we SHOULD spy on the GOP and make them sweat), curtailing homeland security, restoring the Bill of Rights, abolishing torture, etc, etc, etc......We will have to have a Dem majority for the next 50 years to repair the damage.
