Perhaps those Rovian hacks that McEnemaNozzle has purchased have finally found a way to piss off the press.

7. The funny thing is, I've never seen her in the tank
for McCain, though I hear about it all the time on DU. But every time I tune in to MSNBC she is tolerable to decent.

26. She sings a different tune on NBC Nightly News
Although she isn't all bad. Part of the problem is Mitchell covers Obama and brings up every McCain smear along with the rest of the day's news. Some of what's she's said has been unfair. McCain is covered by Kelly O'Donnell, who give McCain an almost completely free ride.

The difference between Andrea on MSNBC and NBC tells me that somebody upstairs intervenes on McCain's behalf when the big audience is there.

give someone long enough, and they'll prove to you eventually they're human...

Good for Andrea, this was strongly worded and refrained from being negative like the GOP does with EVERYTHING, as do their supporters... one just needs to take a gander onto newspaper comment boards to see the sick depravity regarding what the nutbags think of Obama.

After seeing the LOON who went in and shot up the church b/c of their love of all people, I pray for Sen. Obama's protection since these GOP leaders are out there DIRECTLY INSINUATING OBAMA IS ANTI-AMERICAN, UNPATRIOTIC AND CANNOT BE TRUSTED.

17. They Are Literally Painting A Target On Obama's Back
John McCain has shown that he has no shame. And I don't understand what has made him so bitter. Even his old Vietnam buddy Chuck Hagel is getting all over his case of late.

34. give her credit for a lot of balls. This is NOT going to go over with management (the WH). She is
taking her career in her hands to vary from the script for fascist candidates. I'm not necessarily talking about termination. THat would be way to obvious. But reassignment to less prestigious 'beats' can ruin careers (unless of course you value your integrity over celebrity).

Job on him for a change. I wish she had brought up the fact that McCain didn't visit the soldiers either when he was out there. But McCain didn't have the Pentagon against him like Obama did.

11. In the last part of the trip
Obama may have connected more with the press. I know that on the one day at the end of the trip, the women on camera at MSNBC headquarters was interviewing Andrea about a news conference with Obama, and Andrea was very pleasant. Then they played a bit of Obama answering a question and the woman said "let it be noted that our own Andrea Mitchell asked Senator Obama that question and he called on her first." giggle, giggle. It seemed that it was quite an honor to have been called on first by Barack.

12. Just because he's visited the troops, so can Obama?
But his trips probably weren't paid for by campaign funds as was Obama's.

I'm not the biggest Ed Schultz fan but I'm with him today. The Obama campaign and Democratic Senators need to get in front of the cameras over this twisted trash. Time for a bludgeon.

13. Such BS
In one part of that clip, an Obama spokesman observes that McCain is an honorable man running a dishonorable campaign. This gets McCain off the hook and is a load of crap. This is like the Republican apologies, I'm sorry if anything I did or said offended anything - when what should have been said was, I'm sorry for my comments or actions. Period McCain may once have been honorable. But this is his campaign. If it is going to be judged dishonorable, then it is a reflection on the candidate. End of story. The media are perfectly happy to give McFeeble a pass on everything. Why must the Obama campaign do the same. And while Andrea Mitchell was correct to make the observations she did, why did she allow the McBush surrogate to say what he did - it was an outright lie.

19. Senator Richard Burr, North Carolina douchebag, carrying water for McAnus.
We need to get rid of him and Dole but the Hagan campaign (Kay Hagan is Dole's Democratic opponent) isn't doing all that great in the polls.

Sometimes I cannot believe how stupid the people of North Carolina are. WTF, they elected Jesse Helms for a frickin millenium.

I work with die-hard Limbaugh and Boortz fans who believe every goddam word that comes out or those bastards' mouths. Sickening and sad. Especially so because most of those folks are piss poor.

I think all the time when I'm surrounded by my idiot cousins, neighbors, etc. that literally vote AGAINST their very own well being, Why Me Lord? Why am I seemingly the only one who sees this idiot crap for what it is??? My next door neighbor is gay and I THOUGHT very open minded and liberal. He said to me the other day that "he just isn't ready for a black person to be president". CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT ONE??? WTF.

35. Bible-toting, redneck racists are the bane of America
Harsh? Yes. But, so what. Somehow, it is okay to make fun of intelligent "nerds," "geeks" and other thinkers ... to mock sophisticated people who have complex thinking patterns.

Yet, people who believe in fairy tales and invisible friends are off limits to criticism? Even when their invisible friend tells them to discriminate against people because some ancient book is interpreted by an ignoramus minister to justify the discrimination and prejudice? Why must these kinds of human beings be coddled and off limit to criticism? Being stupid and regressive, gun-toting, bible-toting whatever isn't automatically good.

Let's not forget that once upon a very not long time ago, good little white fundamentalist bible-toting Christians exited their churches on Sunday to attend the hangin' of a n*gro. The fact that culture has moved on and has managed to shame most of them into changing or hiding, their knuckle-dragging animosity and idiocy still exists. An equally dumb bible-toting man from Texas promised them perpetuation of their prejudices as he proudly boasted of his simple ways. And, they didn't think twice before pulling the lever for the con man.

They are both do nothing senator's who only rubber stamp the idiot bush, but people in my state love them. That POS only purpose in the interview was to bad mouth Obama and he does not care how stupid he sounds doing it, his only thought is " I must support the party".

25. I sent a letter to my local NBC affiliate KGW...
Last night they played McCain's attack ad in full on the 11pm news - so I wrote them last night, complaining that they really don't need to be airing clearly outrageous swiftboat ads.

Today I wrote again, asking if they will be airing Andrea Mitchell's report to balance their smears of the previous evening.

We'll see how well that goes....

27. Why can't that just say the simple truth?
Why is everybody dancing around this? It would be so easy to state the case clearly.

Obama's trip was LEGALLY two separate trips. The trip with the congressional delegation was official Senate business. By the time Obama got to Germany, this was the start of his political activities. Two separate trips. The taxpayers paid for the official half. The campaign paid for political half.

On the official part of the trip, the delegation visited troops in 4 different locations, including injured soldiers, mostly without fanfare.

The Pentagon advised against visiting injured troops while on a political campaign, so he didn't.

We all know freaking well that if Obama HAD visited those troops in Germany, McCain would now be running an ad blasting him for using the troops as props for political benefit.

I'm getting really sick of this piece of shit McCain is becoming.

33. Maybe Andrea and the right-wing press are hoping for a different nominee will be named at the
convention. McCain is going to have a hard time winning the election unless his PR team can improve his image. Really, it takes a major fuckup for a Republican to lose a presidential election, given that the electoral map favors them by default. Maybe McCain will step down for health reasons and a smoother and more telegenic corporate criminal and bloodthirsty thug like Bloomberg will be given the nomination.

37. I would block everything
The way Darth McNasty has chosen to run this campaign if he were to win (God help us) and if I were a US Senator or Congressmen I would personally inform him that any legislation he sent to Congress would be DOA. Although his willingness to lie and pull this crap of attacking his opponents' patriotism is typical of the GOP I thought he would be different. I was wrong. Today John McCain is no American war hero. John McCain is an America hating, power hungry, suck ass.
