I can hardly imagine what it was like for him to be held in solitary in the US, and when that ended, to be rendered away from his family and home to be tortured for a year in Syria.
These US officials and administration policy makers are simply disgusting, to be able to defend these actions and justify them, not even caring about what they are doing to people.

After all, they're just a bunch of brown people and they make a good example to the rest of them. They seriously believe that. They are comforted by the fact that although the law allows for they themselves to be tortured, the liklihood is negligible and therefore acceptable.
