1. Illegal preemptive police actions to prevent coverage of their illegal actions |
|
against citizens exercising their free speech rights.
This country is at a dangerous crossroads between nominal freedom and blatant and cynical fascist elite control.

2. This is What a Police State Looks Like! |
|
Amazing. It appears true that the Police are Pre-emptively going after Journalists and Social Activists. This is a Violation of the Intent of Our Constitution. I hope that St. Paul gets so sued, and then the money is given back, after expenses just to prove the point.

3. Forget the giving back part! |

Make it hurt so the cities and their populous don't forget. Or there will be much more next time.

19. Cops aren't afraid of getting sued. |
|
Victims of police brutality and misconduct usually get awarded their damages from the city budget, not the police department budget. The cops don't care if you sue -- it's not a threat to them. (see http://www.hrw.org/reports98/police/uspo15.htm#TopOfPage)

18 U.S.C. § 241 -- Conspiracy to Deprive Constitutional Rights -
If two or more persons conspire to injure, oppress, threaten, or intimidate any citizen in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege secured to him by the Constitution or laws of the United States..., they shall be fined not more than $10,000 or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and if death results, they shall be subject to imprisonment for any term of years or for life.
OUTRAGEOUS -- BLATANT -- FRIGHTENING -- INTIMIDATING -- UNLAWFUL -- TOTALLY BUSH

12. If these Fascists Are Indicted, I doubt that, and prosecuted, and found guilty. |
|
They can be, "fined not more than $10,000 or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and if death results, they shall be subject to imprisonment for any term of years or for life." That would be something.

"an intentional distortion of reality by powerful but anonymous bureaucrats. "Lack of evidence is treated as a pesky inconvenience, to be circumvented by such Kafkaesque means as depositing unproven allegations into sealed files ..." Another definition would be an existentialist state of ever-elusive freedom while existing under unmitigatable control."

11. Many Democrats (BlueDog/DLC) actively HELPED the Republicans. |
|
The majority of our fierce Democrats just whistled and looked the other way. Only a fucking HANDFUL of Democrats stood up and actually OPPOSED the Republican take over.

17. Their crimes? They successfully proved in courts of law that the New York City police were |
|
liars who falsified evidence and charges. That they lied on affidavits.
If you or I did the same, we'd have been in the pokey doing hard time.
Somehow, I doubt that the same is true of those who did the lying and falsifying.

Not just for the Police State Outrage,
BUT
These people have given us a PERFECT EXAMPLE of how to fight this.
DOCUMENT NAMES, NAMES, NAMES especially the name of the judge on the warrent.
Cell phones, minivideo with INet uplinks.
Upload your documentation BEFORE the Police have an opportunity to sieze the equipment.
Next step: Massive class action lawsuits with multimillion dollar punative damages.
Please keep this kicked, and add a recommend.
Special KUDOS for the next door neighbor who invited the MEDIA to film from her backyard!
