If Chelsea Clinton had been pregnant in the White House, Limbaugh wouldn't have touched it?
If anyone believes that, I have a Nigerian prince on the line who would love to speak with you...

2. I can't stand Molinari. |
|
She is such a shill. And do you notice how her ugly attitude is starting to show in her face? Before long she'll look like Mean Jean!
It seems obvious to me that Schultz and Miller are right on the money here, and Molinari and the other Republican hack are clutching at straws. Their arguments don't even make sense!

3. Fantastic Debate on Larry King About the Values Arguments and the GOP and the Palin VP |
|
Gov. Palin will be asked to step down from McSames recommendation of Vice President. Let us have love and Kindness to the Palin's. It is obvious that Gov. Palin's negatives are too great. She cannot make for our Vice President. If she does, she will endure years of attacks.

Last night, Tavis Smiley's guest was Newt Gingrich.
When Newt called the Palin/daughter flap a non-issue, Tavis quickly pointed out:
"If this were Barack Obama's daughter, I could show you clips all day long of Republicans criticizing out-of-wedlock births in the black community."

6. but that is different. |
|
did you notice how it was mentioned about the daughter getting married to the boyfriend. guess that makes it different. personally, i do not want to discuss the issue of the pregant daughter. i want to stick with issues. there are enough of them to discuss without miring in the muck. but i do get the point. and it would be used against obama if it were his daughter. but we are not the republicans. and we don't need to go there.

9. Here's the point that need to be pounded home again and again. |
|
When it's an inner city teen pregnancy, out of wedlock, it's fair game, moral issue for the conservatives to attack like rabid dogs. But when it's a rich, white, upper income, conservative family, it's "A beautiful part of life, that just happens sometimes, and shouldn't be an issue..."
Pretty fucking convenient huh? Facts are funny things. The teen pregnancies that I've ever know about in my life have been from conservative, good christian, church going republican families. Curious, no? In fact, the most fucked up, dysfunctional people I've ever known are from conservative, good christian, church going republican families.

10. Too bad Steph didn't get the time Ed did. She was more issue oriented, more specific. |
|
Not just saying R's claim to be "values voters" and now look at Palin's kid, da de da. Steph actually pointed to issues, like Palin being against sex ed in schools, being for abstinence to the detriment of education about birth control, STDs etc. The issue shouldn't be about the kid making a mistake, and so long as it's about that alone the R's will win the debate. It should be about the kid's situation being, if anything, an example of a disconnect between fundamentalist Republican policy and reality. It should be about the necessity of commonsense programs re. sex ed, not religious based programs based on pretending that religious ideals are reality. One can preach the ideal, yah, but it only makes sense to preach the ideal if the reality of life is recognized. Even Steph didn't push this hard enough, but at least she had a clue.
