Russia Today analyzes the situation between protesters and police in what they are calling a “police state” against the backdrop of McCain’s GOP acceptance speech. During McCain’s campaign defining speech, which has been roundly energized since the nomination of Palin, Russia was a talking point– McCain blamed Russia for invading Georgia.

4. Slowly taking away our founding fathers' dream.

Its depressing. Come on, at least don't blockade the street before the legal protesting permit is up! Torture of American citizens? I feel like all of this is because of ignorance. If you have an uninformed, ignorant, and passive electorate, you can get them to elect horrible people and even do horrible things.

1) We are using the word democracy and the need to spread democracy like Stalin wanted to spread communism or Hitler the Nazi regime - by force. It really is no different, it is the forcing of an ideology on people. No matter how beautiful an ideology is, if a leader forces it on people, the leader is capable of doing harm.

2) For some reason now, Islam is being equated with terrible things. Obama has to go out of his way to prove that he is not a Muslim. Why does that matter. Why are ppl rolling over and accepting the blatant discrimination directed toward this religion and its members? What kind of a free state is this. This country needs to change directions and fast.

6. Police State

If the Republi-CONS get in I think Cheney will be the head of it. Mark my words. He is perfectly positioned to set this up and already has been with his Companies and contracts. My husband's son, a few years back, had joined the Reserves. Later on he was sent to Texas, where he told me that he had special training that had connection somehow to the FBI. Part of his stay was at a house that the person worked for Halliburton. He was there because of some girl, daughter of said Halliburton worker, who later on dumped him when he got back to MN. Now here is the rub. He never had to go to Iraq. Instead, he was transitioned easily into the Police Force where he has gotten several promotions. He is consistently sent out for training all over the Country. He is being used as part of whatever this process is since he is also bi-polar and vulnerable. He is also on an Indian Reservation that used to be Democratic but is now being convinced to turn Republican. We have entered extremely dangerous territory peeps.
