...IMHO though, they shouldn't have made the joke about the "Yukon Gold", the Republican Camp will only focus on this mockery - exposing Palin's lies is sufficient enough to make her ridiculous (if only this wasn't such a serious matter)!
But the sarcastic "and that's why you ALWAYS vet your vice president" remark is quite appropriate, though, and nothing but the truth!

What a fiasco the Palin nomination was and is, indeed!

6. My stomach literally hurts...

from hearing and talking to people around here. We ONLY get Conservative talk radio here, and I am so sick of hearing how awesome she is, how perfect she is, how she has revived the Republican party, and how she is the female Reagan. I have headaches, and stomach aches. I think I will get an ulcer. But I am not scared. I am not scared of HER. The only thing I am scared of is the media, and people in charge, NOT doing their jobs and calling her on her lies, and not pandering to her "sexism" bullshit. I want to smack all the people around me, and yell at them "Weren't you JUST making fun of me for supposedly ONLY supporting Obama because he is a celebrity?!!!" Do any of you know how it feels to be in a COMPLETELY Republican/Conservative area/city/state?

My part of CO sounds like your part of TN. In '06, our congressional candidate lost in a squeaker; when campaigning with/for her, we often heard "I'm not voting for anyone whose mother is a n*****." My landlord boasts of Klan ancestry, which makes my Obama signs much more meaningful. I read the local paper for ads and the occasional obit, watch the local "news" for the weather, and go to the internet for reality. Hope that helps!

I just get so discouraged. It feels like I could dedicate my whole life to this, and I know the area will not change. The main problem here is the indoctrination of the Conservative media. The lies and misinformation, anyway. And it is just about impossible to fight 30 years of lies and smears, even while they continue every day.
