This is precisely why he shouldn't have chosen her. She's now making the argument that experience doesn't matter. What idiots are running the McCain campaign? They've been telling the American people for months that Obama doesn't have enough experience and now they've turned the argument on its head.

I think that McCain has fallen into the same trap that Hillary fell into during the Dem primaries. Hillary was too willing to concede Obama's premise that it's a choice between change or experience, but not you can't have both.

his good question about what motivated the hijackers on 9/11. Her answer showed that she bought Bush's explanation hook line and sinker, that they attacked us because we're "free" and because of our ideals. I think his follow up question was great, because it exposes her as someone who completely puts her trust in Bush's foreign policy view, that we need to go policing the world and spreading democracy to the farthest reaches from our country.

I understand how you feel. My stomach is turning. I was ready to have a good laugh at this interview, but I'm dumbfounded. She clearly knows she's unqualified, but yet she jumped at the opportunity to run for vice president. It's like they think this whole thing's a joke. People's lives are at stake and she can't even memorize the answers to the questions and sound natural answering. What has this country come to?

Even though I hate her and her ilk (not elk) and the policies they rode in on with the heat of a thousand suns, it was almost more than I could bear. She was so totally dumbfounded with the Bush Doctrine question that it made me squirm. Gibson could have buried here there, once and for all. But he let her off the hook by feeding it to her.

But I stopped feeling sorry for her when she couldn't get off the talking points and just answer the damn questions. I loved when Gibson said that he got lost in a flurry of words when he asked her flat out if she thought it was OK to invade Pakistan. And she still couldn't answer "Yes" or "No!"

So, if I may summarize:

• Christian fundamentalism and fanatics: Good. Islamic fundamentalism and fanatics: Bad.


• Israel launching nukes on Iran: Good. Iran launching nukes on Israel: Bad.


• U.S. launching incursions into other countries: Good. Other countries launching incursions into U.S.: Bad.


• Palin having ZERO foreign relations experience: Good. Biden having TREMENDOUS foreign relations experience (as part of the "government as usual" crowd): Bad.

He has her all fidgety at 3:20. Yes 3:20 into a ten minute segment and she's on the defensive. Pointing her knuckle at him because I presume someone told her not to point her finger, but you can tell from her body language she really wants to point her finger and set him straight, so to speak. "I want you to not lose sight..." And also the little half head nod as a way to imply "so take THAT you peasant, how dare you question her highness..."

At 4:00, "But Charlie again, you are a damned fool."

At the five minute mark when he asks about the proximity of the state and it's relationship to foreign relations, what kind of answer is that? "They are our next door neighbors." Huh?

She wants to say more at 6:20 "we have got to keep the pressure on Iran" but the video is clipped at that point?

She's so effin standoffish about everything. If the people in our country can't watch this and see she that my 11 year old is as qualified as she is and we still elect her, then I say we deserve what we get. There is no way Biden will not blow her off the stage, hence the early speculation "will Biden have to take it easy on her or risk looking mean?" I'm sure you will hear that all day the day after the debate. "That mean ol Joe Biden..."

The Bush doctrine question, or her reaction to it I should say, was priceless. I expected her to say "Can you use that in a sentence?"

It's like watching a sales rep try to sell you a product that she knows nothing about. The hand talking and the facial gyrations...we've all seen it before..."It will be great for your company, let's get that contract signed to do. It _should_ work in your environment." Then when the product arrives and it sucks, the sales rep is nowhere to be found and besides, you signed a contract.
