Views on DU: 1603 | these women did a great job, but it is a sad commentary when women on a talk show ask McCain the toughest questions of his campaign. Check out his facial expressions...and he's kinda whiney when he talks about why Obama won't play nice with him...waaaah...

5. Thanks. Some observations: |
|
McBush is delusional, for starters. Has it been proven Palin is 'the most' popular gov in the entire US? And she'd be the greatest in history?? He wasted a lot of time on that meeting with Obama at town halls, but I suspect that was his motive. Of course, the POW thing came up, but the women were nice about it. Whoopie looked appropriately dressed, and though the video wasn't clear to me, I bet there was a lot of eye rolling going on. Her slavery question was pretty funny.
Finally, did that 28 years of marriage include the overlapping months when he was married to two women? And I had to go after seeing that red outfit of Cindy's. Flashy-not many people could get away with that, or would want to. I hadn't seen the video, so thank you.

i think i need to send obama some money and do0nate some more time. to think i just worried about my voting rights being extended. i need to make some other arrangements if we lose. why is it the repubs want judges that are strict constitutionalists, while they all work to dismantle it?

That is hilarious! The ladies did a great job--and the only reason those questions were the toughest of his campaign is simply because the media is in love with the OLD creep! I did chuckle when he stopped Barbara from asking more questions so that he could continue his talking points (you know, his memory isn't improving...). I can't believe that when confronted about the "lipstick on a pig" and "sex ed" ads his campaign put out attacking Obama, he tried to keep a straight face while spewing his lies--the content/shit in those were both BLATANT LIES (ok...really, I wasn't surprised...typical McSame). His campaign wants to fight with dirty smear tactics, so be it. I have a feeling that more people will begin to question his bullshit(like the ladies of the View)! And...Obama will no longer be the punching bag for the repukes! Time to fight back. :woohoo:

|
That if Obama had just agreed to town hall meetings he had asked for you wouldn't see the tenor of this campaign.
THIS IS NOT PRESIDENTIAL MATERIAL!!!
Ok, got that out, back to the clip to finish up.

19. He's sharp and on his toes. It's BS that he's got alzheimers and is not |
|
eloquent and or prepared. Saying so is lowering expectations and that's not good for our candidate.
Also, Cindy McCain is smarter than the McCain VP pick. That said, they have the wrong ideas for our nation.

20. Sorry, but I didn't see any grilling, just a few questions that made him a bit uneasy that never |
|
were followed up on. This was just another photo op for McCanus and his wannabee First Skank, Our Lady of the Common People.

21. Well I think they started out good enough, but |
|
they dropped the ball.
They let him get away with lies about Obama's lipstick on a pig statement. And they let him get away with lying about Obama's sex education idea.
Oh, yeah, they started out questioning him, but they didn't keep at him long or hard enough to get the truth.
And I'm disappointed. Because they turn out to be no better than the rest of the so-called "journalists" out there who refuse to keep McCain honest. I mean TOTALLY honest...none of this cutesy implication crap where unrelated statements are strung together to make it look like truths...similar to what we saw in 2001 when 9/11 and Saddam Hussein were mentioned so many times together that gullible people started to link the two, and there are still some imbeciles out there who think Saddam Hussein...or Iraq...was responsible for 9/11 even though nobody ever really said so directly, and Bush himself had even (belatedly) admitted the two were not connected.
I'm really really pissed and disgusted with the people charged with dissemination of information who misinform and outright LIE...or allow others to lie.

23. One problem is that he pulls the same thing all Republicans do-- |
|
he simply keeps spewing whenever someone tries to follow up. He talks them down, and like Bush, when they try to follow up, he does the "Let me finish!" thing. Then he just doens't ever "finish." He goes off topic and starts in on the standard talking points, but since he has said, "Let me finish!" they have no chocie, unless they are willing to seem "impolite" to a guest, but to shut up and let him ramble on. Barbara's disgust is evident in the way she keeps her arms and legs tightly crossed and her hand covering her frowning mouth, and the way she keeps leaning away from him toward Whoopie.
I suspect that when McCain is not there to talk over her, she, Whoopie, and Joy will have some more to say about the campaign's lies--and perhaps they will come back to it more than once over the next few days or weeks.
