15. Hilarious and wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
your comment is priceless and it says so much. LOL. Can you honestly believe that our nation is actually even considering electing a candidate who does not even have enough technical know-how to use the Internet. I have a friend whose 85 year old Granny uses it daily. But then, I suppose we should not expect so much from John McCain since he graduated fourth from the bottom of a class of 898 students. That's getting very low on the intelligence ladder.

According to Cenk, Gov. Palin asked for $3.2 Million to study Harbor Seals DNA, and Mating Habits, $400,000 to study Invasive Species, $500,000 to study the Halibut, and $2 Million for Crab Research.

Are they unaware of how earmarks get on a bill?

Does McInsane think he'll have line-item veto power??

38. I think the fact that these people are buying McSame and Moosolini's BS to the point
where they jumping up and down and cheering about the eliminating the earmarks that are a truly TINY fraction of the federal budget AND that, in reality, they expect their Congress critters to get for them, then YES-- they are brainwashed Cult of the Faux Maverick members.

They love Sarah b/c she's "feisty" and don't care if she is unintelligent and clueless on foreign affairs. In fact, it makes them like her more.

They love McCain b/c he's a "maverick" despite the fact that he hasn't been one for 8 years and has aided and abetted the 'wrong direction' they think the country has been going in.

They are SO blinded by their need to get a "win" for the GOP that they are willing to ENDLESSLY repeat the talking point that McInsane 'can't use a computer b/c of his injuries' despite AMPLE photographic evidence of him having MORE than enough manual dexterity to 'hunt and peck' and/or use an alternative to the keyboard.

So, yeah. To me "cult" is about the best word to describe their blind following of the two biggest threats to our country in recent history (and THAT'S saying a lot.)

And yes, I know they've tried to use that meme on Obama supporters. So, I'm throwing it back at them with 100,000 times the evidence to back up my claim.

20. It's weird to see McCasket give a speech in front of
an actual audience. They pretty much have to drape Palin over him while he speaks to get people's eyes looking in his direction.

Why don't they just outfit McCain with a life-size Sarah Palin lookalike bodysuit?

26. McCain's 'old ink pen' is what led to the failure of his first marriage.
Does this clown really believe that he'll veto EVERY earmark that comes his way, if elected president?

You think that with all of the lobbyists running his campaign that we will see pork spending reduced under a McCain administration?

Do the knuckledraggers in the audience really believe this? Do they understand that they may have benefited from earmarks?

What a bunch of maroons!!

30. That's part of the point.
Some of those "earmarks" go toward useful and needed projects like road maintenance, environmental protection, child health programs and things that actually do some good for the states. This grand-standing is just fake, political histrionics.

Pork, on the other hand, is money given to states for useless, unwarranted, unearned or just wasteful projects.

Maybe someone can give an example of a wasteful pork-barrel project...

I still think using possibly useful scientific examples weakens the argument that Palin is a corrupt as the next Repub., and might raise Palin in the eyes of environmentalists.

36. It's not the corruption that is being targeted in this particular piece.
It's the hypocrisy. McCan't says he's going to veto "earmarks" like studying bear DNA in Montana but studying Harbor Seal DNA is okay because it's Palin's project--she's special.

It's the Republicans saying that they are all about small govermnent and fiscal responsibility unless it's something that they want: No money for Montana bears but Alaska seals get $3.2 million. Was it Minnesota that had the bridge collapse? No money for them but Alaska gets money for a bridge to nowhere. The airlines need money to prop them up after the September 11th attacks (which actually made sense) but they lay off workers and give that money to their executives for bonuses.

It's the hypocrisy.

52. O.K. But I paid pretty close attention to the video and
didn't get that from watching it. I'd only send out something that was clearer. There are Christie Todd Whitman conservative feminist/environmentalist types who are looking for a reason to be o.k. w/Palin. I wouldn't want to provide it to them, since at the very least, I want them to stay home on election day.

Thank you for your clarification.

40. Well I got one for you...
TPTB at the top of my company's chain-of-command are all college educated, retired military men. The president of my company (who happens to be a very likable, friendly guy)is a big McCain supporter - keeps an autographed picture of the old fart on the coffee table in his office - and this is what he said to me when I asked him what he thought of the Palin pick for VP...and I quote him, "Great pick - she changes the dynamic of the entire thing". I then asked him if he felt she was qualified to which he responded (again I quote), "Hell yes - she's more qualified than Obama because Governor's make decisions, Senators don't"!! Wow, that was just too easy. So I replied, "then that makes McCain unqualified to be President - he's only been a Senator and never a Governor so that means he's never had to make any decisions, right?" I gotta say, caught him speechless - he had no response to that. I bring this up here because this is the mindset of some of these people supporting that nut job, Palin.
