1. This Needs To Be An Obama Ad
I wonder what the rules of getting it would be...

(of course, I'm sure Romney said it in the primaries...)

Not 100 percent on it though.

22. Or was it the sex education to kindergarteners thing?
That was about as reprehensible as anything I have ever said in politics. That is tantamount to accusing your opponent of being a pedophile.

The lipstick thing wasn't reprehensible. It was just stupid.

get tarred with McCain's crap.

That's why he absurdly called Washington too liberal in his RNC speech, lol. He's ready for 2012 all the way.

17. Not to mention the insult of being passed over for Palin. McCain is no maverick. He is a limp,
beaten, desperate man who needs to reinflate his ego and go down in history as having been POTUS. Not unlike Bush.

7. I have no reason to despise Romney
He seems like he has a cool head about him. I may not agree with his economics, but they worked for him. Seems respectable, but so did McCain once upon a time...

10. There is no love lost between Mitt and McCain, their primary contest was brutal!
The fact that Romney wasn't McCain's VP pick doesn't help either.

25. I do. Ever since Susan Eisenhower spoke at the DNC, I've been...
... looking for indications that other more rational Republicans (Colin Powell, Chuck Hagel, Arlen Specter) would follow her lead. If this video is recent (not from the primary), the wheels are indeed starting to come off the bus right now.

26. My point is that for campaign purposes it doesn't matter. Colin Powell
should have endorsed Obama weeks ago and I wouldn't hold my breath for Sen. Specter. With Chuck Hagel, one never knows.

19. This sounds like something he would've said during the primaries
about some kind of attack on Romney by McCain. Romney's just denouncing it and saying "pick me instead" . . . that's why there's the question about what the future of the republican party will be. This isn't about McCain and Obama IMHO BUT its still true that McCain makes a lot of false accusation and this strengthens our case in making that point. Good advertisement fodder. I wonder if Obama will say something as strong as "false accusation". I hope so!

29. Yup, I'm pretty sure this is from the primaries too.
McInsane's people also did some nasty puch-polling on Mormanism.

Unfortunately, if we used this, they would just use Hillary's "Shame on You, Barack Obama" clip.

23. Romney is such a hypocrite. Here he is quoting the New York Times and...
Edited on Sun Sep-14-08 10:09 AM by liberalcanuck
the Washington Post, blasting McBush for his lies and distortions. All of that is true of course; McBush is running a disgraceful campaign, but I'm reminded immediately of his comments at the Repuke convention:

"You know, for decades now, the Washington sun has been rising in the east. You see, Washington has been looking to the eastern elites, to the editorial pages of the Times and the Post, and to the broadcasters from the -- from the coast. Yes.

If America really wants to change, it's time to look for the sun in the west, because it's about to rise and shine from Arizona and Alaska."

These guys make me sick.

24. just goes to show that McCain will lie to win a primary or an election - he has no morals about it
McCain learned from George W. Bush - who taught him with his illegitimate baby ads - just f*ck the other side over or you lose - period. Elections aren't won by facts or policy, they are won in the ads. Seriously. The fact is Obama is not a muslim, but does that matter? no, because the ads are already out there. Right now, the Republicans are selling a Pet Rock for President - and you know what? The Pet Rock was the biggest selling fad of all time. So, what does that tell you?

28. Although Romney is pissed at McCain and distancing himself
from McCain, his main thing is keeping his options open for running next election. Pols are always thinking ahead and it's quite obvious Mitt is slavering for the WH. Romney's statement will stick in people's head and be remembered. Sure glad he said it tho'.
