your message could foment voter apathy ("what's the use in voting, if it's ripped anyway?"). And what we need is the opposite of dispiritedness. We have to incite hope and high spirits, we have to pass optimism on to the people divulging messages like "Can't wait 'till the elections, it'll be so great to have Obama/Biden in charge!" or "Can't wait until the Democrats win this election - it's gonna be great!"...even if we don't dare to hope, we have to do this! People want to be part of something "positive" something "great", they want to root for the "winners"... not for what they might perceive as the "sore losers". Besides, the more people get really excited about the Democrats winning this election, the less they will accept another fraud! If we already promote doom's day mood, no-one will get upset if our worst fears become truth.
Really, if I'd indulge in pessimism, I'd stay here in Europe forever and never set foot in the U.S.A. again!!!
By the way: I admire your creative initiative! Keep it up! :applause:

but the same argument has been used to suggest all discussion of voting integrity is counterproductive, and that, I think, is demonstrably incorrect, escpecially here in California, where the election of Debra Bowen as SOS over Diebold's McPherson basically saved the nation from electronically-administered fascism.
Most people I know both bitterly complain about election fraud while continuing to vote, just like every actor in the film. Hopefully no one less logical than that will see this.
Also, the piece was less intended as a public message than as a reminder to all of us how catastrophic 2004 was for our lives (and all life). I needed to say this, loudly, before Barack Obama is elected and the darkness fades from memory.
It was made in two days, and we all had a lot of fun.
Now -- comedy, politcal and otherwise.
I think I had to get it out of my system.
