the whole interview, Barbara actually gets a little tough (surprisingly).

What they say: "I'm against any sort of litmus test for our justices. I'd like to appoint judges who interpret the constitution in strict constructionist fashion."

What they mean: "I'm against coming out and saying that my SCOTUS appointee(s) would force women to bear children they don't want. I would prefer to act surprised when my right wing justice(s) did precisely that."
