On former GOP congressman Joe Scarbrough's show no less.

Transcript excerpt:

Most glaringly, McCain openly sparred with Brzezinski, whom he accused of being an open supporter of Obama. Asked by the host to assess whether an ad attacking him on the economy was out of bounds, McCain replied:

"I'll leave that for the American people to decide. I still say to you, and I know you are a supporter of Senator Obama, if you would urge him to come and do town all meetings with me as I have asked him to do time after time the whole tenor of the campaign would change."

The charge created an awkward and tense environment for the rest of the segment, with Brzezinski forced to note (as she has done in the past) that one of her brothers works for the McCain campaign (another brother works for Obama, and her father was once an adviser).

"Senator," she said, "as a characterized Barack Obama supporter, I take objection. I'Il just say, take care of my brother working at the campaign."

"Thanks," replied McCain, "that was a cheap shot."

as are every other foreign leader just looking to get the US into an untenable military situation.

Cheap shot!!! What a fucking punk you are mccain. I've tried my damndest to maintain some sort of decency relative to you since we both served in the Navy but you are a monster I want you nowhere near the oval office.

9. If I was an enemy of the U.S. I'd couldn't wait to get this guy in office
You ever here him say that if we left Iraq Al-Qaeda would be "crowing" about how they beat us? AQ really isn't even in Iraq, not in substantial numbers, but besides that, McCain would stay in an indefinite war, get lots of Americans maimed and killed because he doesn't want AQ calling us names? Nobody really calls him on that, but that is some sick stuff.

8. We should use a clip of McCain stating that he was a member of the commerce committee,
...along with a clip of him stating that he doesn't know much about economics. That only proves he was part of the good old boys network, and part of the failure of our economy.

5. well that makes clear....
...that McCain doesn't know the first thing about economics or even the actions of his own campagin. his "answer" about fixing the economic troubles was nothing more that a disjointed set of sound bites and rehashing of what undoubtably was the briefting he received over night on the financial systems. and his answer to the question about the sex ed ad was, well, simply put total horseshit.

7. "but look", that is his transition move out of lying... every time he lies.. he says that
Always, 'but look', that's how he changes the subject after he releases a lie, so that the CANNOT challenge him on his lies. Notice that?

What I noticed is that he does not seem well, either mentally or physcially. Seriously. He looks as though he's trying REALLY hard to seem friendly and energetic, but looks like he could either fall asleep or start swearing and screaming at any moment. He's a dangerous man.. and so is Palin.

13. "Cheap-shot John McCain"... sounds like his S.O.B. S.O.P.
McCain kinda messed-up there, too, given that Brzezinski has been a vocal fan and defender of Palin, helping to perpetuate the characterization of any criticism of Palin as sexist.

14. Neither Brzezinski or Scabby challenged McCain's assertion that the negative tone of the campaign ..
... is Obama's fault for not doing joint town halls. Mika and Joe are collectively and individually worthless.

26. on second thought, you're right. Democrats think things will speak for themselves too much
Republicans speak for things, and make up bullshit explanations that people believe.

Aren't they all?
And see, if Obama would have run his campaign the way that MaGoo wanted him too we wouldn't have this mess. I wonder what would happen if Obama showed up at the UN when they introduce this bitch. To see them turn away from them to talk to Obama would be fantastic. It would be a party crasher.

19. McCain AGAIN threatens/tries to extort(?) Obama into town hall meetings!!!
When is the corporate media going to focus on this???

This is at least the fourth time I've heard him use that line, that if Obama would just do the town hall meetings the tenor of the campaign would be different. So he's trying to bully Obama into playing the game the way he wants it played. What a little shit.

This should be one of our attacks on him.

20. this is Rove inspired. Remember Bush-Gore town hall?
Gore had the right answers, but it was a no-win for him. The first time the media said he was too wooden, and the second, that he was too aggressive.

They could also seed the audience with their shills.

22. Can be a win-win for McCain
He keeps making this claim, making Obama look like he's partisan and unwilling to have a friendly campaign, and thinks he would look better in a town hall if Obama were to agree to them. (Also would be a win for McCain by preventing Obama from campaigning freely in states he's trying to get to. McCain has a built-in name recognition advantage that Obama has to try to overcome, so keeping Obama off the campaign trail, away from retail politics, is a win for McCain.)

24. I agree, but my point is that McCain is using Obama's rejection as an excuse for his
nasty, sleazy campaign. That it's Obama's fault that they went that route. If only had had behaved, they wouldn't have had to LIE about him so much.

That's ridiculous.
