From http://thinkprogress.org/2008/09/16/mccain-commerce-committee/">thinkprogress.org: On CNBC today, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) declared, "I understand the economy. I was chairman of the Commerce Committee that oversights every part of our economy." But, as the Washington Post points out, the Senate Commerce Committee doesn't actually have oversight for "credit, financial services, and housing -- the very areas now in crisis."

1. I don't believe I'da told that John...
Oversights? Oversees? Oversaw? What's he looking for the 'past pluperfect subjunctive'? Ranks right up there with the one that talked about 'them internets'.

2. Isn't he using the shrubjunctive?

Here's what he said last December, "the issue of economics is not something I've understood as well as I should." Boston Globe, 12/18/07

He can't even count the number of houses he has, but he knew enough about economics to marry a beer heiress.

3. Beer here now
He was thinking strategically, Tomeboy. He married a beer heiress because he knew Bush was elected after so many Americans said they'd like to have a beer with him. Now McCain can have a beer with the entire state of Arizona at the same time. Today, Arizona. Tomorrow, the world!:toast: :wtf: :dunce: :hurts: :nuke: :donut: :hide: :scared:  :puke:
