The Al Franken for Senate campaign today released a new ad, Why, turning the tables on Norm Coleman after Colemans campaign turned its entire website over to a personally vicious negative ad.

1. I swear, the only commercials running in Minnesota are either US Chamber of commerce smears
against Franken or Coleman smears against Franken. The RNC and their minions are going full tilt. :-(

2. Any mentions of Coleman's connections to Corrupt Bastards campaign financing?
Bajagua and Ted Stevens are the big two that sent Coleman his seed money (probably via Karl Rove).

lobbyists, as well as Ted Stevens, but I would say that Coleman's ads against Franken are running 2 to 1. The newest Coleman ad is showing clips where Franken is using *bleeped* out foul language, probably at a live taping of his radio show, which I guess is suppose to upset the Lake Wobegon church basement types. Coleman has had the benefit of the US Chamber of Commerce as well as another 527's that have been hammering on Franken. It's rather frustrating, so I'm glad Franken produced this ad.

5. GO AL....
Minnesota needs him.
Democrats need him.

We need his heart, his passion, his politics,
and his intelligent and insightful humor that sends
seltzer out the nose and makes us laugh and think.

I'm pleased to be a Californian and US Citizen for Al Franken.
Al Franken for US Senator from Minnesota.
Go Minnesota, Go Al!

6. nice ad!
I miss Al on Air America radio, it just isn't the same with out him! But, he will make a great Senator from MN! My brother and sister-in-law in MN are most definitely voting for him.

7. I hope so too...
We have the most crazy fetus-worshipers in the nation up here. They are 20% or so of the electorate and they will literally vote for *anyone* who *claims* to be pro-life. It's disheartening that anyone would vote for a bozo like Coleman, but there are another 20% who will vote Republican no matter what. It gives a Republican a nice, solid base of about 40% to start off with up here.

That said, Al's numbers are trending in the right direction and he's gained a lot of ground. The other 60% of the state is pretty progressive and likes honest politicians, so he's got a shot if he can convince them he's a good choice.

Of course I've loved him since his SNL days, and I think he's a solid thinker and honest guy. I tell everyone I can and contribute regularly.

Go Al!
