1. Thanks for this.
I'm glad to know it made it on to their news.

2. But again they are equating Obama with McCain, saying...
"it's getting ugly on both sides" after proving that MCain and his people are serial liars.

3. Excellent, and thank you for posting.
Yes, the reporter does engage in a bit of the obligatory "both sides stretch things now and then" for a moment. But she makes it very clear that McCain has gone far beyond spin into outright, blatant lying.

That's big. That the McCain campaign is now on the defensive over a very clear-cut, easy-to-grasp and potentially damaging question: "Is John McCain a liar?"... :wow:

That's huge.

And it's not just CNN asking. Google-news "Is John McCain a liar?" and you get a TON of results:
http://news.google.com/news?ned=us&hl=en&ned=us&q=is+john+mccain+a+liar&btnG=Search+News

More importantly, talk to people who once liked McCain and voted for him. They're stunned by what he's become. They'll tell you they don't even recognize him anymore.

I doubt they're all going to go flocking to Obama. But they're increasingly likely to go to Barr, other third-party or just sit the whole damned thing out. And, if you ask 'em, they'll tell you they were never really Republicans with a capital "R" -- they're really Libertarians, and have been all along!

Sen. McCain, do you see the irony here? In going after the "Republican base" -- the fundie wingnut loudmouths who control the party now -- you've alienated your own, genuine base and driven them away.

Keep up the good work, Team McCain.

4. "it's getting pretty ugly on BOTH sides"? WTF. Every lie they debunked was McCain/Palin's
not Obama's ... .where does she get off saying the BOTH sides shit?

6. I know that pissed me off
Ugly on both sides? Yeah right. :) It's the media's obsession with "balance." You can't just call something a lie, you have to bring in the other side too. If a Republican said the sky was green and a Democrat said it was blue, nobody would bother to look outside and see that the sky was actually blue, they'd just report that both sides disagreed on the color of the sky. It's weird.

8. McCain has the worst surrogates
He truly does his campaign a disservice by putting these people out there.

9. the difference they state
Is they say that Obama said McCain wants to "fight" a war for one hundred years. McCain said we could stay there for that long. Like in Korea, for example. But I don't buy that framing. As long as we stay in Iraq, we'd be fighting, at least for the foreseeable future, it would never stabilize out like say the situation in Korea has. Or Bosnia is another example. They are giving McCain a big benefit of the doubt on this.

10. our presence in Iraq *is* going to involve fighting from those who do not want us there
our presence there *IS* going to require billions of dollars being diverted over there.

our presences there *IS* going to be the reason why more and more recruits will join this fight for their "glorious" mission to kill Americans.

If our presence there didn't result in violence, this would have been a cake walk from the get-go.

Parsing words doesn't negate those facts.
