Barack Obama addresses a crowd of 9,500 at a rally in northwest New Mexico, speaking frankly about the economic problems we're facing.

1. This is a big deal to New Mexico
For those of you that don't know, Espanola is where the poor people of New Mexico live.
Most politicians go to Santa Fe because the rich live there and few of them venture north to make their speeches.
But coming here caused quite a traffic jam...there were no parking spaces closer than a mile away, and what surprised me was that there was little police presence. And everything went of orderly.

3. I can vouch for that......
now I just hope we can get these folks to the poll. Hope he got lunch at the local greasy spoon. The name slips my mind at the moment, but it was really good-and inexpensive too. It is a poor, poor town.

6. Could you mean El Paragua?

You can get a really good meal there for less than 15 bucks.
And that is about the most expensive place in Espanola.
I usually stop at the Stop and Eat and get the Mexican plate for about 7.
