3. Fearful that rapture replaces foreign policy with Palin. Faith replaces reason. |

14. MLK: one of the great political strategists of the 20th Century, believed in angels |
|
I don't believe in them, but I suspect many people can compartmentalize -- for example, I do believe there was a historical Great Flood, if not a Noah's Ark, that is universally and pan-culturally recorded in ancient texts.
Bill has a lot of energy for his issue, religion. Andrew Sullivan has a lot of energy for his issue, Palin.
Meanwhile, the Second Great Depression has a lot of energy... for us.

5. Bill often looks like an ass when he talks about women, gays, and religion - why is that? |
|
why is that? He often seems to discredit gay people by making gay jokes (like the Lindsay Lohan "joke" from the New Rules for this show, and his appearance of treating anyone with faith views as living in fantasy land just b/c he chooses not to believe there may be a higher power, and of course, there's more complaints about him being sexist, more than anything) I find him very funny, and point on about some major issues - but whatever party one would call him mostly affiliated with, I wouldn't say it's Democratic. Libertarian? Anyone? Or just some kind of anarchist? lol

6. Maher a better commentator than comedian |
|
Bill is clearly smart and honest as can be. He is right on about most things. But as a person, not my cup of tea. Anyone who doesn't like children, and whose main comedic comments come at the expense of tearing others down, no matter how deserving they may be, is just not very entertaining to me. But I do love him on Larry King.

7. When it comes to the subject of women or religion |
|
Maher is a bigot- which was pointed out last night by Sullivan. :applause:
Is Sullivan a Republican? Damn, he was kicking butt last night! His assessment of Palin is 100% correct.
I still like Maher and he's very good when discussing the economy, most political topics and his strong areas, the environment and animals.

8. Sullivan is a conservative, but hates Bush administration |
|
And McCain-Palin campaign with more passion than most democrats. His article "Goodbye to all that - why Obama matters" is a must-read, I think, as well as his blog -- "The Daily Dish". http://www.theatlantic.com/doc/200712/obamahttp://andrewsullivan.theatlantic.com/

...this walking foreskin was instrumental in putting W. where he is today. For the most part he has made his career trashing Bill Clinton and, to this day after everything Bush has done, Sullivan still can't stop thinking about Clinton's cock. He ridiculed Gore in 2000 and sucked Republican ass until recently (tax cuts good, war great). This piece of shit doesn't deserve any recognition because, as far as I'm concerned, he and his ilk have blood on their hands.
