2. Yes he is.
But he's right and he's been right about a lot of stuff lately, almost as much as he's been wrong about stuff in the past. That said, I think he is on Real Time as a guest way too much.

23. The main subject was the financial crisis, palin was a bit of a sideshow
On the main subject Sullivan blames you and me and gummint regulation (wtf?) for the crisis and his solution is ron paul anarcho-capitalist libertarian idiocy. You agree with that? I don't, and his boorish talk-over bullying behavior drowned out the smart person in the room on this subject, so we heard nothing much from her at all. Too bad.

4. Agreed. He is that. However...
Sometimes I think that we need some annoying obnoxious talk-over bullies on our side for a change. And Sullivan is fulfilling that role these days. Despite the fact that he's a Republican. I agreed with everything he said in that clip and was glad to hear him fighting to make his his point.

6. The problem is that...
no one was trying to disagree with him and he just kept talking. Just like he talked over Naomi at the beginning of the episode.

He likes to spew but refuses to listen and that breeds ignorance.

17. Problem is, in the same episode earlier, he bully-talked all over Naomi Klein concerning "The Shock
Edited on Sun Sep-21-08 01:38 AM by Hissyspit
Doctrine," telling her he didn't believe her thesis, and he obviously didn't know what he was talking about, obviously had not read the book.

25. Ok, I see what you are saying...
... now that I've seen more clips from that show. He indeed was bullying Naomi when he had no idea what he was talking about.

than kerry and that Bill had his facts wrong, he needs to stop saying that if not true.

Here it is. Rachel Maddow and others have been talking about it. There are more articles about it all over but, well, this will get ya going:

12. Can you imagine if she'd run for president this year?
She would have been toast in the first primary. That's what makes me SO angry. That someone like this who was not vetted by her party or the public (via the primarys) is in this position.

I never realized why the choice of a VP was so important...until now.

Funny thing is, I think if mcsame had chosen lieberman he probably would be doing better now. Dems don't like lieberman, but repubs do. It would have appeared more with mcsames "maverick" image if he had acutally picked the person he wanted. could have given him a good bi-partisan image.

oh well, he made a choice for the worst possible reasons and ended up with probably the worst possible choice.

14. Get the facts right!
Maher is wrong, Obama is ahead with all women by at least 10 I think, he is ahead with white women by 2.
Sullivan is wrong, before you keep praising him, listen to what he said about the mortgage mess. He is blaming the people that took the loans just like Kudlow did. Yes, I like Sullivan for a while, but he is still a repuke. Listen to him blame the poor people that got loans, then tell me how great he is.
AND WHEN IS OBAMA GOING TO STOP BEING A MISSPELLED WORD!!!!!!!!!!!!

15. I just love Naomi Klein and she's dead right
Equate Palin with more of Bush. That's right in line with Obama's message anyway.

Sullivan, well I like much of his recent writing but he is obnoxious. That said, he's pretty effective at ridiculing Palin. Great vid.

16. McCain-Palin lead with a common vision
Well...at least there is consistancy in the republican ticket this cycle. Both candidates McCain and Palin are now or have been the subject of investigations regarding ethics violations and alligations of the misuse of power. Of course I am referring to "The Keating Five" and "Trooper-Gate" - These are the facts, they are undisputable and go well beyond putting lipstick on a pig. For McCain and Palin to spout false claim after false claim even after being debunked by liberal and conservative midia outlets is outragious. It's damn near sacreligious and the equivalent of putting rosery beads on a whore.

That's how I see it!

Chico Brisbane.

18. Sullivan reminds me of a 2-packs -a-day guy who recently quit smoking---
his zeal can be annoying... but, in the end, he's right and he has more authority to preach about it that the guy that never smoked, or voted GOP.

22. Most Disliked Sullivan's Behavior
The thing I disliked most about this episode was Andrew Sullivan's behavior. I supposed he does not act like that all the time in that Maher said Sullivan was always a guest on the show. However, I did not like the way that Sullivan tried to speak over every, cut everyone off before they could make their point, and then get upset when someone tried to make an opposing point.

Early in the show when Naomi Klein tried to debate Sullivan on the issue of the mortgage crisis he constantly tried to cut her off before she could make her point. This was after he had complained to her that she needed to allow him to make his point since she had been allowed to make her point. Well, after he allowed make his point he worked hard to not allow her to make her counterpoint. He did the same thing again near the end of the show when Maher tried to make a point, but instead of Sullivan allowing Maher to finish his sentence Sullivan quickly cut off Maher and began to complain about a point that Maher had not been able to make.

If this is the way Sullivan acts each time he is on the show Maher needs to stop allowing him to come on the show. Sullivan's behavior was just ridiculous. This is now the third show of the season where Republican guests on the show have acted poorly. They have not represented their party well in terms of maturity. They have acted like spoiled little children. I guess some Democrats would respond, that is because they actually are spoiled little children. The Democratic guests have done much better.

24. The behavior is called bullying. Repubs revel in their ability to bully
anyone else, especially Dems.

26. Sullivan clearly doesn't know shit about economics, and he was a big defender of Bush in the early
days.

That said, at least he isn't drinking the Palin Kool-Aid.
