On This Week with George Stephanopoulos, Senator Chris Dodd and Representative John Boehner sweat it out on camera, trying to sell a $700 BILLION bailout that includes saving foreign banks, no oversight or administration of the Bush administration, gives complete autonomy and authority to Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson and nothing for the U.S. taxpayers and homeowners going bankrupt and losing their homes. 9/21/08

I bet I could get a better deal for the people than these bought and sold congressmen who take their orders from the lobbyists.

2. fuck them
any republican saying "rise above partisan politics" can eat shit. and as far as i'm concerned they may as well let the bill die before giving the kind of power to one republican the way it's designed. it stinks to high heaven, no fucking way.

4. I like Sen. Dodd much better than Rep. Boehner.
Rep. Boehner has hurt my feelings by his repeated attacks against liberals. He is an anti-American. Being Liberal, is the ability to believe that government should not tell you how to live your life or thank A$$hole Boehner. I am a liberal. I am an American. Your attacks against liberals in the past, has ruined any esteem that I am capable of having for you. I hope that when you meet your judgement you can receive mercy for your attacks against your fellow Americans.

5. GROW UP CHRIS DODD AND JOHN BOEHNER. We can't say "IT" aloud - it will scare the children
Edited on Sun Sep-21-08 04:30 PM by IndyOp
We are well past sick of you and the way you use fear to control us and the way you patronize us to keep right on going down the wrong track - you believed the fearmongers who talked you into the Iraq War and a million Iraqis are dead.

Grow up. Now. Speak the truth. And don't do a damn thing about a bailout until the mud settles and the water is clear.

How about a little courage, eh?

8. Bull you know what!
Look if this is truly about Businesses and Future Homeowners being able to get loans then Start a new agency that will loan the money to those who need it if they qualify instead of giving it to Businesses that have managed poorly. Since we now own Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac why not make Fannie Mae for homes and Freddie Mac for businesses and those two use the TRILLION DOLLARS for loans. No BAILOUTS for Businesses. Loans Yes Bailouts NO if they qualify!!!!!!!. BAILOUT HOMEOWNERS that need the help if they qualify ONLY. You got to think faster than these crooks people!!!!

9. DO DEMOCRATS GET IT?
I would like to point out first, that the Republican Mantra has always been privatizing social security. Investing in the Stock Market is a Gamble, always has been, and some people lost everything in 1929. This is why I never invest in the Stock Market and why I have opposed privatizing Social Security. What is happening right now, is their plans have failed miserably. They are scrambling to get money to help keep it propped up so it doesn't fall. Another Mantra they have is Ownership Society, which is another way of saying your on your own. They don't like Social Security and Welfare becuase it helps people not Corporations. If your a Democrat that has invested in the Stock Market you should be ashamed of yourself. I know a lot of you have. You have been proping up the only thing that backs all their Mantras. Without it they have nothing. I for one, aggresively oppose helping out the Stock Market. I don't have any pity what so ever for Gamblers. You loose your money too bad. I however, do have pity for Corporations that I am working for, provided that they have listened to at least some of my suggestions. If they have not listened at all, well, then why should I have pitty for them? I have worked for many Companies that I warned them about what they were doing. They are no longer in business. Same goes for any neighbor that doesn't seem to get it. If it's a neighbor that him or his wife has gone through some medical problems or have lost a job but are aggresively looking for another and have taken that minimun wage job while looking for something better then YES I do have pity for them and would like to help. That is Democrat!

10. This is only a worldwide problem because the US banks lied
They rated high risk loans as AAA credit rated securities.
Foreign institutions only bought them on that condition so basically they have been playing the biggest worldwide scam for the best part of a decade and now it is blowing up in the faces of everyone after most of them have taken their money and run.
The US government has watched and let this happen so unfortunately you US citizens are going to have to foot the price for the actions of your gov't and banks if you want to even think about any other countries bank wanting to deal with you again. That means that any bailout will have to cover all the Foreign investors before you even thinks about yourselves. I know you might find this hard to take but you helped make it by electing a bunch of crooks.

29. spot on. Westerners do not give their lives for their convictions
Just to start I am the same here in the UK. When you look the at the Ecuadoreans and Venezuelans or the polish or even many egyptians, Saudis and Chinese they actually put there life on the line day after day to protect or fight for their right to freedom. You in the US more than any other nation have given up everything your nation is meant to stand for because you think you still have a democratic process even though you know deep down you don't. We have become soft living in our lovely little future bubbles and trapped in the financial debt bubbles. The so called ownership society is as much about owning your own house as it is about being controlled through fear of loosing that very house you have your family in. If Obama wins do you think he going to take on the Military industrial complex, I don't because he will end up dead and I imagine some of you can relate to that thought.
Do you think he is going to take on Wall street while he needs them for the money to run again and the fact that he has Rubin as his main financial adviser who pushed just as hard for the end of the very regulations that have caused your current financial mess.

28. The US is no longer a democracy? We didn't elect them, those were coupes.
The American people are to blame for not doing everything they could to fight this menace, sure, and we did not elect Bush either time. The elections are being stolen pure and simple. Never mind the middle class here gave everything to our allies in the past and now our allies either cheer us on in an illegal war or sit quietly on the sidelines. Or, am I wrong?

Foreign investors be damned. But you will be bailed out.

15. Looks like Bush and the republicans accomplish what Bin Laden
could not or any other terrorist. No wonder Bush did not
would to capture Bin Laden while he was screwing Americans.

Where is the share of help from the people that stole our
money and ran ,,,, like Bush Sr. --- Halliburton --- Exxon ---
 War contractors --- Blackwater --- Cheney --- Rumsfeld --
and the entire Bush friends in the administration.....

Destroy our economy , democracy , freedom , jobs ,
infrastructure and our military..

Great Job Brownie..
