10. This guy is well aware of the depleted uranium issue

I first heard about the nightmares of Depleted Uranium oxide, (DU) from Jim McDermott PRIOR to our fiasco in Iraq. He has worked closely with Leuren Moret*(1) regarding DU, part of his fact-finding mission to Iraq a couple months before Shock and Awe was to hospitals were he could see firsthand the babies born to exposed parents. What he saw horrified him. He has worked hard to get legislation passed to have the VA treat DU exposures on our troops*(2). Rep. McDermott told us during the run-up to the 'war' that this whole thing had NOTHING to do with WMD but was purely about the theft of Iraqi oil. History has proven him right. He is for impeachment. Jim McDermott is one of my heroes.
