I couldn't beieve the number of non-English speaking residents. I gave the capaign folks feedback that they need to push for Spanish-speaking callers.

7. I didn't mean to imply the message wasn't important - not by any means.

When I heard his tag line I, a non-Spanish speaker, thought "hmmm sounds pretty good" (not like I sounded when taking Spanish in school, for example - painful). So just thought I'd check with those who are more qualified than I -- which is everyone.

I'd love to hear McCain's attempt.

8. His speaking wasn't bad but it was too short to make a real judgement.

If it took three takes, that would be good; if it took fifty, that would be really bad. He sounded better than Tim Kaine, though; his speech at that Democratic mini-convention thing in Texas just made me cringe. But it's difficult for me to hear anyone speak Spanish poorly. And I can't stand the pandering.

And Bush can butcher two human languages.
